Spectacular fun, runs smoothly and enjoyably on my system, after the tweaks to make it run at all
--use-d3d11
Fullscreen fails to launch the game, set to borderless fullscreen in game, or edit the user settings .config file (found by searching "settings" with your steam library folder set to the searched folder, filepath should include helldivers2 in it.) and setting fullscreen=true to false
solved by using proton 9.0.1
worth putting the effort into making work, generally little effort needed to do so. go crush some bugs
--use-d3d11
Solved by using the proton 10 beta, not tested with ecperimental or hotfix though.
FOR DEMOCRACY
good game if youve got a dlss enabled gpu, and its playable if youre comfortable using generated frames, but far from well optimised
adjusted the rt_lighting_quality to "false" (in user settings config file) for about 3 fps gain, best performance on a 9.xx proton version by ~3%.
on windows i was able to get a solid 90fps with quality fsr on a mix of medium and high settings, and no frame gen, however linux perfomance is barely scraping a 60 (in my experience with rudamentary testing)
rare crashes when adjusting settings that are also handled by the more graphics settings mod
