As stated with other reports here. Installs and is totally playable, just performance issues. About 30-40 fps 1080p Proton 7.0-1 maxed on my hardware.

I have never had any of the audio issues mentioned in other reports, maybe due to mine being an old game install idk? General slow downs at first launch due to shader compilation (as usual) but clears up after a few mins. Able to run maxed out @1080p 60 fps Proton 7.0-1 with my setup. Mods work fine.
I have been playing Sims 4 through wine/proton for a long time now. General Performance issues seem to be an issue as the game continues to age and hogs more and more of the CPU. The game still installs and plays with no workarounds. It seems to have boosted for me about 5ish fps from Proton 6.3-8 to 7.0-1, so now it's running about 45-52 fps 1080p maxed out on my setup. As stated, a CPU-heavy game. That could be part of my issue with an older i5. Mods work fine if you know where to find the game files.
