Game only showing a black window

Launcher is working after following directions.
Launching the game results in a black/blank window with Proton Experimental and Proton 5.13-6
The new launcher is still broken on Arch Linux it seems. The launcher never loads up completely, it just shows the Rockstar loading screen until you are forced to kill the process. I've left it running for 3+ hours without any progression.
Game works and is playable. However, adjusting the brightness completely broke all textures and lighting in the game. Moments in the game with lots of moving objects tended to get about 10 frames per second with my PC.
The game runs, but often crashes when attempting to load from a save and occasionally when attempting to load levels when traveling. So far I have not been able to exit the apartment on Taris without the game crashing to the desktop.
It seems that changing the resolution can sometimes help with loading a game from the menu, but it hasn't been consistent.
Disabled Esync and D3d11, but the game still crashes during cut-scenes. Unable to beat the first level because it crashes within 10 minutes of starting.
No tweaks needed. Game runs perfectly with mouse and keyboard (haven't tried a controller yet).
Had to restart the game after changing the resolution in order for it to apply correctly.
