Just make sure SteamPlay is enabled for all titles and this game will work.
Installs just like it would under Windows and runs fine past the slow EAC start - which is typical under Windows too
I'm playing the game using my Pico Neo 3 Link via WiFi. To get it working, I am using ALVR v21.0.0-dev01+nightly.2024.08.18 which works just great for me. Stable releases of the v20 branch have issues with the headset overall, now however I have the same experience as I'd have with Windows 10 Pro.
The game installs fine and starts. Once the initial animation played, it crashes and I'm back to the desktop

Another patch, another time it fails to start with and without "PROTON_USE_SECCOMP=1 %command%" on both Proton 5.13 and 5.21-GE-1
Played only one stage so far, the game however runs fine at 60fps with sound and everything. First start is in windowed mode which can simply be changed just as one would under Windows.
Gamepads won't get detected, using the keyboard curses Shantae to stop running every few seconds, jumping in between helps to bypass that issue.
The game doesn't necessary run at 60fps for me but close enough with 57-59fps when spoofing an AMD card in use, only one stage (Kinder Gym) let the game run at 30fps which is odd but still fine as it's constant.
I used https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamPlay/comments/9m18ck/troubleshooting_performance/ as a reference as it has been mentioned before to work for Tekken7.
Also in my case, Plasma's widget bars like to cover the game when starting. Switching to windowed mode and back to either fullscreen or borderless window mode helps until the game gets started next time. Otherwise I use to play with my XBOX360 wireless controller which works just fine.
The game plays pretty much fine once Proton GE is set up and ready. It needs minor tweaking for online play, otherwise things work fine.

Unless I change launch options as noted, gameservers will locate me in the Americas for match making. Everything else works fine for me.
Except for the match making issue bound to the system locales, the game runs fine using Proton GE 8-30 and above. If people like Tekken, their experience will be fine.
