Had an issue where the game selected my integrated graphics, leading to about 2 fps on the menu and making it impossible to even get to settings to change this. fixed in the file "LocalPrefs.txt", found in the prefix: "drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/Diablo IV/", changing the line: Adapter "0" -> Adapter "1"
works fine on lutris through battle net (after some potential config tweaking)

looks like 12th/13th/14th gen cpus have serious problems with this game, and I'm not sure how to apply the above fix (fixed my windows performance) to linux...
gamemoderun gamescope -w 2560 -h 1440 -r 165 -f -- %command%
borderless has a weird white outline without the launch options
performance since some recent update (idk which one) has gotten WAY worse, went from matching windows performance to anywhere from 20%-50% worse performance than windows, making the game kinda unplayable
mangohud gamemoderun %command%
running in borderless adds a small white border. used to be fixed with gamescope, but this now prevents the game from launching, so i just have to live with it i guess
running in fullscreen gives a ~20% performance hit on my system (borderless is fine)
Latest update crashes to UE5 crash dialogue. tried proton 9.04, exp, GE, tkg, ETC
does not run on my machine without crashing all the time, likely an issue with mesa drivers? (am on Mesa 24.2.5 currently)
gamemoderun PROTON_LOG=1 %command%
videos do not play if FSR is enabled (I have seen videos with the same issue on XESS windows, though).the "Native AA" FSR3 option does not have this issue.
crashes anywhere from 1-5 minutes in, every single time.
could not get anything game related to appear. game does not start no matter what I try
tried many different proton versions, proton GE, but cannot get the game to boot at all.
with the latest EAC update, you don't need to be the host! (won't get kicked from games)
LD_PRELOAD="" unset SDL_VIDEODRIVER; mangohud %command%
launch options (stolen from someone else's report) seemed to help a bit, but performance is certainly still a bit worse for me than on my windows install (dual boot)
mods cause a EAC file mismatch or something, but devs did say mods would be broken for a few weeks after this update. once mods are fixed, I'm hoping they'll work on linux, because i can get the game to boot through the launcher, sort my mod order, etc
