Did not need any tinkering.
Launch
Upon reaching the Larian launcher, a warning about outdated Nvidia drivers was shown. It didn't matter and I moved on. After clicking "Play" in the launcher, the game opened alongside a dxdiag warning dialog (like it is trying to run it, but the command was not found). Again, this warning did not matter and the game proceeded normally to the main menu.
In-game
I played for a few hours in multiplayer and did not encounter any issue. The performance seems to match the hardware that I have.
Additional Information
- Runtime: DirectX11. Did not test Vulkan
- Display Mode: Borderless
- Display Server: X11. DId not test Wayland
- Tested on a tiling window manager (i3)
- Steam and Nvidia proprietary drivers were installed as described on the NixOS wiki.
Works almost perfectly
Crashed twice during the introduction/storytelling cutscene. Did not crash anywhere else.
Putting aside the issue mentionned above, the game works very well.
Works very well out of the box!
Cutscenes can occasionnaly stutter for a second, causing the audio to slightly fall out of sync. Since cutscenes are relatively short, this issue is very minor.
The game still reads mouse inputs when out of focus. Clicking on a window above the game or the taskbar triggers an action in-game. Tested on Cinnamon DE.
Works natively, but might need a tweak
Could not reach the main menu when launched in 1440p. The game was stuck on a black screen. However, It worked properly when launched in 1080p. Reaching the main menu also takes quite some time, oddly enough.
