EGS version works OOB
Läuft nicht nativ, nur mit Proton.

Slowdowns during saving, gradually occurring during a gaming session. Nothing significant.
Very pleasant experience.

PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Freezes when launched from Steam without tinkering

Does not launch natively
The game doesn't launch after clicking launch. The game executable is running but no game window appears.
No major bugs, good performance. Works 100% out of the box. Great!

Just great. No tinkering necessary!
Runs extremely well by default. No lags or performance losses noticeable. I can only recommend this!
Hangs OS after screen with Loading... text
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Silent crash
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Works natively, but might need a tweak
Could not reach the main menu when launched in 1440p. The game was stuck on a black screen. However, It worked properly when launched in 1080p. Reaching the main menu also takes quite some time, oddly enough.
Some tooltips are really small
Shows mouse and keyboards shortcuts, but the official control template works fine

Worked out of the box
When switching resolutions within the game settings, it had a problem with the highest resolution, so i had to stay on the second highest, but i think i can live with that issue.
Game has no controller support, so you need to use community layout / customize it. Otherwise runs great.
Changed right joystick to be scroll wheel
Works great! Takes a while on startup.
I thought it looked low res, but that may just be the game.
Ultra settings work fine on low end graphics, dont worry :)
Native port works great
When I first launched it and selected my resolution, the game locked up and I had to kill the process. After that, it seemed to be fine.
Ran flawlessly. No issues at all. Running an RTX card,. Graphical issues reported by others on RTX not found here.

Does not work, neither native not SteamPlay.
Black screen on startup. With SteamPlay, black screen after the logos but before main menu.
If you have an NVIDIA RTX card, the native Linux version has graphical issues. Use Proton to force Steam to run the Windows version.
This is important for the Linux version of the game: when running the game on an NVIDIA RTX card, you will see red outlines around everything. If you force Steam to run the Windows version using Proton, the game will run without any problems.
TPH works great natively and on Proton with Navi Cards.
I've only experienced this on Manjaro; plugged in controller (Logitech F710) will conflict with keyboard regardless of your Controller Configuration. You will need to unplugged your controller before you launch TPH if you want to use your keyboard.
Steam Cloud does not work with TPH on Steamplay. It seems it can only detect Linux folders and not Steamplay folders. I've tried to move/symlink the save files to different locations but it ended up getting deleted when syncing to Steam cloud.
If you want to sync to different computers, the best solution is either play TPH natively, or to sync your save files with Nextcloud.
TPH works great natively on Linux with Navi Cards, unlike RTX where there is major graphical glitch (red outlines all over). You could play this game natively without problems, but you could also play TPH on Steamplay without problems. Either way is good.
TPH works well with Steamplay
The default Two Point configuration will have a conflict making your keyboard unusable when you have your controller plugged in.
To fix this you'll need to import another Controller Configuration. On your Steam UI, go to Two Point Hospital, click on "Controller Configuration" tab on the far right. Click on "Browse Configs," then "Community." Make you sure you select "Show Other Controller Types" and select "Simple Steam Controller by GingerbreadFred" configuration.
This config doesn't conflict with your keyboard or mouse.
RTX cards seems to be not compatible with TPH running Native Linux. You'll get red outlines all over the game that makes it unsightly and in my opinion, unplayable. GTX cards don't have this problem and neither do AMD's Navi cards.
