Steam cloud saves are not cross-platform. If continuing a save from Windows, run the Proton version instead of Native to use your Steam cloud saves, or find some way to copy saves from Windows version to Native.
Some screen tearing, not fixed by vsync.
Lower than expected fps (70-90 instead of 120 fps cap). Even on minimum settings, game literally gets lower FPS than Borderlands 3 on high.
Bad stuttering when swapping weapons, sprinting, or opening menus. Disabling texture streaming increases load times but mostly fixes stuttering. Now the game stutters briefly when opening the menu for the first time each session, and briefly when entering a new zone.
Initial launch failed with "Win32 function failed: HRESULT: 0x80004005 Call: at line 266 in file \Graphics_DisplayM.cpp." Adding the Steam launch option "PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%" fixed it completely.

Tab key sometimes doesn't work, alt + enter twice can fix it. I ended up rebinding tab controls to a different key, no bid deal. This is a Doom Eternal problem, not a Linux problem, as it also occurs on Windows.
Rock solid 144fps.
STEAMDECK=1 gamemoderun %command%
Despite low CPU and GPU utilization, could not get FPS above 60. My same hardware on Windows runs the game at a consistent 144 FPS. I tried different versions of Proton (including GE), lowering settings, and running in DX11 mode ("-dx11" launch flag); no change to FPS.
I was also experiencing a sort of micro-stutter effect that made the low FPS feel worse.
Minor stuttering
Crashes if not one Proton-9.01
Stuttering on match load (likely shader caching), FPS drops from 144 -> ~60.
Going into settings and changing the renderer from DX11 to Vulkan solved the FPS and caching issues.
Freezes at Valve Logo on Launch

Game worked fine 4 days ago, but now it's freezing on launch, forcing me to hard restart my PC
If you do not own the DLC, you might not be able to log in to the multiplayer network until you create the file "/steamapps/common/ELDEN RING/Game/DLC.bdt". Doesn't need any contents, just needs to exist (try touch /ELDEN RING/Game/DLC.bdt
)

Have only played about ten minutes, but so far it runs perfectly out of the box! I copied my save over from Windows with no issues.
Need to manually make the window fullscreen with Gnome shortcuts on each launch
Stuttering, audio clipping, low frame rate

Significant mini-freezes in general, especially noticeable when opening menus, transitioning areas, gliding, etc.
GameMode (https://github.com/FeralInteractive/gamemode) substantially improved framerate issues, giving me a generally stable 100+ FPS.
Minor crackling on certain effects, such as ship thrusters.
Extremely variable framerate with vsync on, ranging from ~30-144. Turning off vsync helped somewhat. Framerate was generally stable when the view was static, but moving the camera and/or the player could drop it as much as 90fps.
When first launching the game, the mouse pointer was clicking somewhere below its visual indicator. Setting the game and restarting once fixed the issue.
Framerate is somewhat variable, between 60-144. However, that performance is pretty comparable to what I experienced running the game on Windows.
Exiting the game causes it to hang, then crash, requiring a force quit.

The Steam version has massive stuttering problems, probably related to shader compilation. I've tried enabling/disabling Steam shader cache, Proton GE, and just suffering through to see if shader compilation would eventually catch up (it did not).
The Battle.net version does not suffer from these stuttering issues for me, so I installed that through Lutris and am playing with no issues.

Binding mouse back seemed to only work if I bound it, then reset controls to default?
Stuttering on Proton 9. Switching to Experimental mostly resolved it.
Runs pretty well, some stuttering still that I hope is just shader compilation taking a little while.
Minor crackling
Minor stuttering. FPS locked at 75, no vsync option.
Linux is disallowed
On launch, all I get is a popup reading "The program encountered E111000B at 00002111 during initialization. Wine, Proton, and Steam Deck are not supported by this application!"
Native build is completely broken, does not launch. Proton works but only with 9.xx, I tried several others including GE versions with no luck. Proton 9.xx works well, no performance issues.
