TooManyErrors
Published
Played through the entire game in Proton. You need to install xact to get the audio working properly, although it will still have issues with crackling sometimes. There are some graphical errors with the rain in some of the Mafia Town levels which can possibly obscure your vision and force you to restart the level. There are also some minor graphical errors with the UI that generally only appear for one frame, and in the Alpine Skyline area the tree swaying animations are broken but don't impact gameplay.
Aside from one major crash, the game runs fine.
When using Vulkan, the game crashes my GPU if I wear the sunglasses in the act Dead Bird Studio. I believe this is a D9VK issue.
Setting shadow quality to low gained me around 30fps. The other settings didn't affect performance as much but I can now maintain 60+fps.
A recent Proton update seems to have fixed the crashes when navigating the settings menu.
The game seems flawless if you only want to play the campaign modes.
Set the Proton prefix to Windows 7 to fix the audio.
I didn't try PvP, but the co-op campaign suffers from desync issues which make it unstable.
Attempting to play the video tutorials crashes the game and you may need to manually kill the process as it sometimes doesn't terminate when exiting. Other than these issues, the game is completely stable.

I set the launch option PROTON_USE_VKD3D=1 in Steam and manually set DirectX12 in the config file to achieve better framerates.

Pre-rendered videos now play without any issues because of work on the mfplat libraries.
The game process needs to be manually killed when trying to quit. Otherwise, the game runs perfectly.
The launcher starts but soft hangs when trying to associate file extensions and setup firewall rules.
Has problems with audio crackling and minor graphical errors, but otherwise playable.
It needs GloriousEggroll's script, but runs almost perfectly afterwards with only a few minor audio problems.
