The Native build is finally playable since the Resonance Decade update! Not perfect, but still better than playing on Windows.

Some texture and lighting issues, but these are minor and can be ignored.
Framedrops on some areas are present, but probably because of my RTX 3050 Laptop GPU. I do get high framerates on most of the areas though.
Crashed twice on the final levels of Interloper, but didn't crash on most of the chapters.
Overall, still better than Half-Life: Source!

Fonts render differently than they did on Windows, but that's a minor issue.
You are forced to run the Native version, because you cannot join the VAC secured servers if playing on Proton. Overall, runs better than on Windows!
Italic font issues, but only seen on the Target Range level where it had the Breencast. Otherwise, everything was perfectly fine!
Aside from the mentioned font issue, the game was working perfectly and able to play the game from start to finish!
Some font issues present on some captions, and even the end credits. But everything else was fine!
Despite that I've experienced some font issues (in some captions that had italic fonts, and end credits), the game was working quite smoothly!

Used the following fix for the Native version: https://github.com/wayzaction/gmod-linux-fix
Some texture glitches, weird skyboxes on certain maps, fonts render differently and unicode characters missing. Also, the flashlight doesn't illuminate the props, but some of them can be illuminated and ragdolls are visible when used the flashlight on them.
Raw input can't be turned off and some server functions behave differently. Also, there is surely minor differences with how the engine recognizes the mouse position.
It is recommended to use the x86_64 branch and gmod-linux-fix for improving the performance on the Native Linux build.
Do NOT use Proton, since it has slower map loading times when Native loads them instantly. Although if you want to use the mods that go beyond LUA and use DLL files, then you have to use the Proton version, but be prepared for the different loading times than Native.
Overall, the game is pretty playable on Native, and I did not encounter any serious issues other than some minor artifacts that do not affect my experience!
Works quite better than on Windows, although the initial loading times are quite tolerable.
The loading times are also better than on Fedora when ran through Proton, even the game itself performs better! The Native also works, but it's best to play with Proton anyway. Use the x86_64 branch and don't forget to install the GmodCEFCodecFix to fix the menu issues!

Also able to play Online Deathmatch without problems, and the game itself is a classic.
Everything worked OOTB! I was even able to play the game from start to finish without issues.
Guess the Native version did not fail me after all! Now I can finally experience the classic without severe issues on Linux.
Played the entire game using the Windows version, and didn't encounter any serious issues!
Everything worked flawlessly, and even could play the Workshop maps. On top of that, this game is a gem!

There are minor graphical bugs, but there's nothing to worry about.
Since the game works on both Native and Proton, you're good playing this gem on Linux! Also, it is recommended to add -vulkan in the launch options for better experience (and also performance).

It just works, and quite better than on Windows!
Haven't tried Multiplayer, but playing Singleplayer with Bots works like a charm!
It just works! No tinkering required, as it works without any severe issues and performs better than on Windows!
I haven't played Co-op tho, but everything else works flawlessly! Either way, you'd be good playing this on Linux.
The game surely runs a bit better than on Windows, but can't forget about the Unreal Engine 4 jankiness in this game! Otherwise, still a great game to play on Linux.
