Games borked unfortunately, it appears since a lot of the former reports were made, they increased LA Noire's dependency on the Rockstar Games Laucher.
With the amount of animated cutscenes in Persona 4 Golden, I will find it very improbable that you will have an enjoyable experience.

I disabled Steam Cloud Saving, and deleted all of the metadata (/home/[USER]/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/[GAMEID]) and configuration files that come with the installation, and that's leftover from the /steam/steamapps/common/TGAAC directory to fix compatibility issues with a resolution bug.
