Massive Remapping, just used as a starting point.
Weapon names are small
Randomly dies, but changing to an audio sink in-game resolves the issue permanently. I don't know which sink is better (Virtual or Filter Chain).
Gun glitching, appears to rapidly vibrate.
WASD does not map well to joystick
I wouldn't play competitive with a controller. FPS was decent on deck generally > 120 many times > 200 but very variadic.
Controls are a massive hassle. "Gyro to mouse" feels like an improvement over default Gyro, but makes the menu annoying on smaller buttons.

It runs smoother than windows, I have tried exact same setup, in linux I had less input lag
-vulkan -high +violence_hblood 0
random fps drops
Better experience than windows, load time is almost twice faster than windows and lag is waay less. except time to time it lags in heavy parts of map, especially water. I use 1024x768 resolution wi8th stretched and everything low, fidelityFX ultra quality. both monitor and steamdeck view feels nice. I get around 100-110 fps (tested with benchmark) you can increase resolution and try like 1280x960 but I prefer more fps.

I changed sensitivity of pretty much everything, but it's down to the personal preference and I binded in-game shop to the Select button
Most text on screen is too small and very difficult to read

-vulkan
Changing to desktop mode and running with -vulkan is a completely playable experience at 1440p. Low settings across the board of course will still yeild acceptable 40 to 60fps with some dips into the 30's. Not going to win any competitive matches, but fun for some DM, Arms Race, Casual action.

Playing with steam deck native input is not for everyone. Even with Gyro. You must be special type of person to play like CS2 this.
If youre looking to be competitive on CS2 with steamdeck, you must be mad. If 60fps means playable, sure. Game is playable for a casual nostalgic round with bots.
Small text in-game

Worked for a couple of days but now no longer boots. Steam loading icon shows then the game closes.
Unclear why it suddenly now no longer works when it was pretty stable for the first couple of days.

Unstable framerate, even at lowest settings.
This game runs very poorly on the deck. Do yourself a favor and play it on a PC or not at all.

-vulkan
Without latest system update, you wont be able to use steam input. Be sure you have updated system to latest version.
Without -vulkan launch option there is a lot more fps drops
Game with bots use more cpu time, slight fps drops when you playing with bots, just don't forget about -vulkan launch option :) P.S. I would very proud if Valve make Vulkan the only one renderer to this game

After CS2 removed controller support, the default layout is emulating mouse and keyboard, but many important keys are missing and it's a pain to change weapons
Most of the text is very small. Main menu items can be obstructed by performance overlay
CS2 removed controller support

The game is very much playable. Competitively, hell no. Casually, sure. FPS can tank at some points but lowering graphics tends to work
Added custom mappings since Valve decided to remove the official controller layout for some reason
Lowered graphics settings (shaders to low, anti-aliasing at lowest without being off, ambient occlusion off)
Text can be very small in menus
Can be particularly laggy when in combat. Overall playable but not for anymore than booting up a quick offline bot match.
Very poor frame times during intense moments and menus can often become confused and conflict with Steam Input

Too unstable work on the Steam Deck. When playing online, regardless of the graphics settings, the frame time is very unstable.

Half the CS community would probably consider playing on a Deck heresy, but with some tinkering it works more than well enough imo.
Some small text on the end of match screen
Runs well on Deck, but Valve's decision to nuke the CSGO controls entirely and replace them with what I'm pretty sure is a default layout irks me. Battery lasts roughly 1 1/2 hours on a full charge playing this, I didn't bother changing anything but I'm sure you could tweak some graphics settings to improve the battery life.

Change TDP to 15 watts, enable gyro for precise aiming
R4 button to enable gyro

Valve official layout does not even have the buy menu
Native only started launching after day 1 patch, proton does not work.

No audio at all
No controller prompts and default layout does not work.
Frame drops around spawning at round start. Dust 2 and Inferno
I play practice on Dust 2 and Inferno
No audio, harder to read text compared to CS:GO, partial default controls from CS:GO work (sticks, firing, reloading, swaping weapons only work, Menu button brings up keyboard), navagation has changed with controls(was left stick with A confirmed and is now right stick with L1 conirmed) , graphical settings set to high( 4x MSAA not need by default)

Keyboard and mouse on this game is mandatory, so I wouldn't recommend playing this on steam deck at all.
-sdlaudiodriver pipewire
L4 to F3 button and R4 to B button
Some texts are too small to read
Use -sdlaudiodriver pipewire to get audio working
Using FSR on SteamOS 3.5 causes heavy artifacting. There are also some artifacts present on SteamOS 3.4 as well (fixed texture on screen), but they're less noticeable
The game never uses more than 30% of steam deck actual capabilities by default.
And CS2 update did hurt performance on steam deck by a lot.
Disable SMT or update to Steam OS 3.5 to get better performance. This, putting the settings on low and disabling FSR will give you mostly stable 60 fps with alright graphics.
Occasional framedrops for no real reason (maybe the game isn't optimized for multi-threading)
Local gaming with BOT runs actually way much worse than online, not recommended.
Hoping one day Valve add proper controller support and controller exclusive matchmaking in the future.

Should be fixed within this week as it's a new release, but completely unplayable at the current moment.

-vulkan
LT full click is alt fire, soft click is scope (toggle). By default the game scopes in 3 times in rapid succession making those weapons unusable
OpenGL would consistently crash when the Steam Overlay was opened. Switching to Vulkan fixes this.
Runs about as well compared to my Windows install. Locked 75hz
Playing with a controller isn't exactly normal but incredibly fun (you need a gyro to be remotely competitive). Here's hoping CS2 launches soon :')
锁定fps144,开启半渲染
桌面模式无非使用键盘操作行动
接外设,鼠标键盘显示器可满足基本游玩需求
Disabled back grip buttons.
Very difficult to read at the end of each game.
Sometimes the music doesn't play
Some functionality isn't accessible, for example kicking someone out of a game/
Complains a lot about Steam Cloud.
-vulkan -novid -nojoy -high +exec binds.cfg -language colormod
After exiting the overlay, the cursor disappears. It helps to open the console.
In the "Danger Zone" mode, the textures of the red zone are missing, some textures are missing when controlling the drone through the tablet. There are also problems with background textures.
Disabled back grip buttons.
At the end of each match, barely recognisable.
Some Steam Deck icons wouldn't show up.
Menu text and ingame text (weapon pickup tooltip) is small
Sometimes the bindings would change (Y to jump instead of A). Buy menu sometimes not triggering. Mouse not working with the buy menu dial occassionaly.
Action Sets/Layers seems to be fixed for this specific game. You can change them internally, but not add additional action sets or layers. These additions will appear as saved until you close the binding menu and reopen them after playing the game.
Had an odd issue where keybind mappings would change randomly. and when i say randomly i mean randomly buttons would just do random actions (example, Button A would shoot then 10 seconds later would crouch).
It really came down to the infrequent button mapping issues that made multiplayer difficult.
