Keyboard and mouse on this game is mandatory, so I wouldn't recommend playing this on steam deck at all.

Using FSR on SteamOS 3.5 causes heavy artifacting. There are also some artifacts present on SteamOS 3.4 as well (fixed texture on screen), but they're less noticeable
The game never uses more than 30% of steam deck actual capabilities by default.
And CS2 update did hurt performance on steam deck by a lot.
Disable SMT or update to Steam OS 3.5 to get better performance. This, putting the settings on low and disabling FSR will give you mostly stable 60 fps with alright graphics.
Occasional framedrops for no real reason (maybe the game isn't optimized for multi-threading)
Local gaming with BOT runs actually way much worse than online, not recommended.
Hoping one day Valve add proper controller support and controller exclusive matchmaking in the future.
The game is great for PC players, for steam deck users, not so much, unless you play it with keyboard and mouse
Mouse is frozen on gamemode, needs to be played on desktop mode
The game is incompatible with gamemode, mouse gets stuck on the upper left corner, you can only play it using desktop mode. You also need to connect your keyboard to insert your name when asked, virtual keyboard doesn't work.
Played through the tutorial with no problems
Used proton-GE because Valve marked this game as unsupported, but main issue here is gamemode I guess
