Runs as expected with proton 9

gamemoderun %command%
Works perfectly ootb without any kind of tinkering. I usually run games with gamemoderun by default but it should work well without. I have no problem at 2k@144fps and the occasional stuttering I was used to playing this game on windows is gone.

I own this game on GOG and played it using Lutris

Works suprisingly well on the Steam Deck! I've made a few changes to hit a stable 40fps in the majority of time.
There are some parts of the map where you won't be able to hit a stable 30 fps even with the lowest settings. In the Deadzone, at night, when there's some fog, I had 23-27 fps. In the day time, I didn't have any issues hitting 40 fps in the same area.
The game runs pretty smooth during the day time. I've seen people achieve even 50-60fps in some areas, but at night, the fps drop a little.
I've set my steam deck to 40 fps (40 Hz) and then I've made a few changes to the in-game settings as follows:
- Resolution: 1280x800
- Vertical Sync: On
- Dynamic Resolution: On
- Framerate Limit: Off
- Texture Quality: Medium
- Shadow Quality: Low
- Post Process Quality: Low
- Effects Quality: Low
- Foliage Density: Medium
- Anti-Aliasing: Low
- Object Detail: Medium
- Fur Detail: Default
- World Draw Distance: Default
With these, I've mostly had 40fps, however in some areas they dropped to 30-35. I also tried to set the steam deck's frame limit to 30 fps, but I felt it smoother when the refresh rate was at 40Hz instead of the 60Hz you get when you cap the frame rate to 30.

It is my experience that without utilizing an older version of Proton this game with come up with the DX11 error. If you are getting that switching to 7.0-6 for Proton solved it for me.

Had to reduce graphics quality by one less than ultra & enable VSync for a smooth experience.
Had to lower the resolution by one less than Ultra and enable VSync to play without graphical issues/tearing.
Xbox Series controller works flawlessly.

The game has great graphics and is a nice Open World RPG
It crashes randomly when upgrading character skills
Other than occasional crashes, the game runs great

Video settings
Monitor Full screen 1280x800 Vesync on
Graphics Texture high Shadow low Post-process quality low Affects low Foliage density medium Anti-aliasing low Object detail high
Made changes to settings in graphics
The Game works great after you change the graphic settings. At first I did experience some slowdowns until I made those changes.
I have on average a solid 35 fps, however on the steam deck performance tab I've limited the frame rate to 30 FPS for consistency.

zero nada zilch
steam says it's running but that's all that happens. doesn't matter which proton i choose. sucks.
The first few skills unlocked without issue, but videos froze frequently, and eventually, when attempting to unlock new abilities, the game would freeze every time, requiring a force quit. Proton Experimental and Steam Recommended were both tested.
Works perfectly fine.
Finished game with no issues
Good performance 60-85fps at 1440p max settings
Runs perfectly out of the box.
I haven't measured the exact performance difference with DX11, but the fact that "DX12 on VKD3D performs well" is a good feeling :)
%command% -dx12
In rare cases, playback of pre-rendered movie material may fail.
I have played most of the game on Linux (including SteamOS on Steam Deck) for about 30 hours and it has worked well throughout. I still have some issues with video material failing to play, which I think should be fixed, but it's not that big of a deal.
I use pacman aur to install the proton-ge-custom package.
Only tried GE-Proton7-41. Game installed and ran without issues.
game runs good with minimal changes to the settings if you force experimental proton in steam, otherwise i did not get past the opening cut
auto config set for high settings, changed to medium settings
Worked brilliantly first time!
Proton 7.1 on Steam Native launcher - no dissappointment and seems very similar load times to Windows with similar hardware.

Some stuttering when loading objects. The 1st bit of gameplay was especially stuttery, but after the 2nd time - playing was near perfect
This game runs perfectly right out of the box, and requires zero tinkering to get it work work smoothly.
Using Proton 7.0 rc3
Game appears to run flawlessly performance wise.
Missing cutscenes during game opening and when levelling up
GE versions of proton won't launch the game for me. Only Experimental works (and sometimes the cutscenes will load and work properly)
Since Proton 6.3-8 the cinematic works.

other then the occasional frame drops. the game runs pretty smooth.
noticed occasional frame drops. but other then that running smooth
Runs well on Proton

Proton-6.1-GE-2 GloriousEggroll GloriousEggroll
Proton-6.1-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
Video won't play either on proton 6.3 or proton experimental or GloriousEggroll 6.1
It would be nice to do somethng with video playback. mf-install won't help and GE won't help either.
Cinematics aren't too important in this game but still it would be nice to see them fixed.
Videos don't play. GloriousEggroll makes the game not start at all, even though it's supposed to fix these issues apparently.
Just the videos, they need to be fixed.
Just run this to fix videos.
git clone https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install.git /tmp/mf &&
WINEPREFIX="$HOME/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/597820/pfx"
PROTON="$HOME/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Proton 6.3"
/tmp/mf/mf-install.sh -proton
Proton-6.1-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
Add WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b" to launch options to fix
Cinematics only work with GloriousEggroll and it need to be version 6.1 or the game will not run or just run with a black screen.
Game runs out of the Box with Proton 6.3-4, If you want videos you need Proton 6.1-GE2 from Glorious Eggroll
fix WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b"
videos does not play. you need Proton 6.1-GE2 (Glorious Eggroll) to fix this
Runs beautifully on my 3440X1440 120hz ultrawide. Works with wireless xbox one controller. Runs as good as windows 10. Beautiful game!!!

Game booted mostly normal, except the videos which can be skipped with ESC button press.
videos do not seem to load. Opening one does not and the projector one does not. I did have one time where the mouse got stuck moving and I had to time my button clicks to save and exit but for all I know that could have been related to steam overlay getting goofy. After I exited and then loaded right back up no issue. Runs very well ootb using Proton 6.3.4, I have not attempted any GloriousEggroll version yet to see if anyone perform better.
Constant crashing after loading the game. Multi-colored video bar played immediately on load followed by amdgpu crash. Not totally sure why, but installing vulkan-radeon/lib32-vulkan-radeon and launching with following env variable corrected:
VK_ICD_FILENAMES=/usr/share/vulkan/icd.d/radeon_icd.i686.json:/usr/share/vulkan/icd.d/radeon_icd.x86_64.json
Opening cutscene (mp4 video) does not render in-game. Just press Escape to bypass and move on.
