Works like on Windows. Keyboard & Mouse, or Controller works fine.
Läuft einfach!

весь текст в игре идет мелким шрифтом, если подключить монитор, то норм. на самом деке играть тяжко
нужно увеличить шрифт для дека и чуточку переделать меню под новыц размер шрифтов

40 fps lock
Subtitles in strategic battles are a bit small
Graphics artefacts with DOF in some areas
Shadows and SSAO set to medium + 40 fps lock

Like with NNK1, NNK2 save games themselves worked fine. But once again I had the issue the game would completely ignore my global steam setting to disable steam cloud and every time I launched steam I would have to once again disable the cloud saves for this specific game. Regardless of whether steam was launched normally or in offline mode. Mildly irritating but irritating all the same.
I had an issue on initial launch where the game process hung in the background (no window was displayed at all but you could see the process using terminal/system-monitor). I eventually found that this is likey to only be encountered by a subset of NVIDIA users and I'm apparently just lucky... anyway, I eventually found that if I opened a terminal and ran:
pkill -9 -if 'wine|589360'
then whatever the stalled process was would get killed and the game would launch. After I reached main menu and exited the game, this was not necessary for any subsequent launches as long as I was forcing compatibility to Proton Experimental (also tried with Ge-Proton8-20 but when using that one, the pkill command was required every launch). More details can be found in my comment on the bug report here.
Assuming "typical gamer" means someone with the same hardware as me, then I assume they would run into the same issue with the hung process. I don't think most casual users would know how or like having to run a terminal command just to start the game. If they did not experience the same issue, either due to different hardware or the issue being resolved, then my answer would be yes, that most users would have an enjoyable experience assuming they like the content of the game itself - I had no other issues aside from those mentioned above.
Perfect.
Works like native!
If you have a ultrawide monitor, use Flawless Widescreen through Steam Tinker Launch to remove black bars from cutscenes.
The crackling audio is very distracting.
Runs perfectly OOTB.
Game ran with zero issues OOTB.
Does not start.
Works great
The game have some graphical bugs and sometimes little slowdowns. But runs greatly, sometimes better than windows 10.
Most text and subtitles are to small to read comfortably.
The control scheme works pretty well, but the too-small font size without a way to change is a put-off.
Lower view distance/LOD than on Windows, some enviroment textures flickering very slighty (e.g. some ramps in the overworld)
Graphics pop-in not present on Windows can get quite annoying, while the slightly flickering textures are barely noticable. Loading times were literally instant on a 970 Evo, a lot faster than on Windows.
Switched to 30 FPS cap, both in game and on the deck. Improves battery a noticable amount
Some subtitles are very small
Runs well on defualt settings, though in over world FPS tip to 30. Will also dip in heavier locations with noticably uneven frames. Capping it at 30fps is a more even experiance, and will help on battery usage to a noticable degree.
Works out of the box
Worked exactly as intended and could be used as an example on how it should run on linux and steamdeck
Disbled back grips and trackpads
Works outof the box
I had a white screen on startup. The problem gets solved when using a wine window 1920x1080 in winecfg (graphics section). protontricks 589360 winecfg
Solved with wine window option.
The game works fine on lowest graphics settings for about an hour, then it is really slow by moments.
Runs out of the box.
Works flalessly out of the box
Good performance, no crashes, bugs or glitches to report
Playing at 1440p max settings. 30fps, but I wouldn't expect more on windows with my rig.
Works perfectly out of the box with no problems
A fun game, can even run this easly on Radeon RX 480 8gb version.
the dualshock 4 was defined as xbox controller
Works very well
Update on my previous report. Moved to Debian Buster testing and it runs great.
Newer kernel and/or newer Mesa fixed any issues with the integrated GPU on my AMD 3200G

Crashes without displaying anything
Proton/Vulkan coule be having a issue with the embedded GPU on my AMD 3200. Tried forcing openGL via PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1, that gives me a white screen at startup but still crashes.
Perfect. Plays beautifully
As close to a native-like experience you'll gonna get.
Idk if it's proton's problem or ni no kuni's, but when my pc suspended and I returned to the game, it crashed :/
Works perfectly!
Ran great no tinkering needed

Works perfectly
need to disable motion blur and set shadow to low
