Works great
Very fun experience

Brick Rigs on Linux is great! 10/10
Didn't lag at all, 10/10 time.

I added buttons which were required for gameplay as well as turning on the right trackpad as a mouse.
Lowered settings.
Some text is rather small.
winetricks vcrun2019
Starts only in wine
Low performance (30% lower)
Steam friends network does not work, but you can easily connect to the server
works just as well on linux than it does on windows
I was able to play with my friend no problem
Works just as well on linux than it does on windows
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Lighting issue on all metallic objects, some missing textures
Steam Cloud did not function
Laggier than Windows
I did a post before on the game working, but it no longer works for me.
I reinstalled the game and that did not work eather.
This game works the same as it does on windows, no performance degradation and all features work. (gamepad not tested)
gamemoderun DXVK_ASYNC=1 WINE_FULLSCREEN_FSR=1 %command%
couldnt change resolution in borderless, stays in my native res
Its excellent as long as someone doesnt spawn a vehicle with alot of bricks
Laptop gpu (Nvidia geforce mx 150) stays at 70*C while playing this game on the same settings as on windows. Dont know if gamepad works because i havent used it (and who even plays this game on a gamepad lol)
Only works on 5.13.6 for me. Still a playable experience regardless.
Not entirely sure how others have been able to get this game working on later versions of proton, but 5.13.6 is the only way I can actually play this game without getting a fatal error on launch. I have over 3000 hours in this game, and a bit over half of those were through proton on various linux distros. It's playable at the same framerates you would expect on Windows for the same GPUs. You might have a bad time with any map mod that only supports the legacy version of this game as those require third party mod loaders that in my experience do not work for me at all. On 1.0 you're able to drag the .pak files into the maps folder and they'll work in game. I tested this with Tom's Brickstone raceway map.
Runs great! Sometimes there are graphic glitches but they are rare.
Runs amazing with no problems.
Amazing experience and because of wide screen it felt just like it was back on windows.
Latest version no longer launches. Tried with Proton Exp. and 6.3. It worked a few weeks ago.
Yes, a typical gamer have an enjoyable experience running this game on Linux with Proton
Slight problems with window modes and stutters but pretty good overall
All modes behave like borderless, windowed doesn't show any window controls and still takes up the full screen, other apps can however be placed above it. Same with fullscreen.
Some sort of microlag or frametime inconsistencies. Doesn't really feel perfectly smooth but it's definitely playable

Fatal Error at start
Hello! I installed Steam today on my Gentoo Install but when I try to launch my game, a tiny window comes up and says: "Fatal error!". I am using Proton 6.3 but I have no idea why it doesn't load. Then I tried launching the game via Terminal with wine. The game starts but the lightning is weird.
I've played this game for ~700 hours with Proton. The game works with no problems currently* other than frame drops when inside the editor.
*While the stable version of the game works fine, the current experimental build of the game is broken, and I haven't found a way to fix it with any tinkering yet (at the time of writing).
Runs with absolutely no problems whatsoever. Well, without any that aren't just bugs in the game itself, anyway.
Steam workshop doesn't work.

Not Starting
Only one little window shows up "Fatal Error!"
Game works out of the box, no issues what so ever
Works perfectly out of the box on Proton 5.0-9
Game ran perfectly on Proton 3.16.9. I've heard bad things about running this game on Proton 3.7 or above however.

Can't play
The ground textures all are just blue or black you can't see anything Isn't playable. All things besides that do work.
Crashes at startup
Starts up a while then crashes

nice game, works great on Linux thanx to Proton
very slight performance degradation sometimes... just sometimes
Brick Rigs works great on Proton with slightly degraded performance compared to Windows but still great.

Haven't had any problems except sometimes when you press multiple keys they don't register, causing you to crash your vehicle and whatnot. Performance is great, no problems other than the key thing.

Had to enable wine d3d11 to get game to launch, game ran at acceptable framerate but nearly every surface was textured black had maximum reflectivity.

Did not run into any issues playing single player

Ran great No problems at all !

There is a very minor bug where the handbrake sometimes turns itself on after respawning a destroyed vehicle, and toggling it still keeps it on the first time, but toggling it again disables it. Other than that, no hiccups found!
