I could play with no issue other than not being able to swim but that's a game issue

Seems like it thought it was fullscreen but was only 3/4 screen. I was playing via steam link anyway so I didn't bother trying to fix it, because it was fullscreen on the receiving device.
With the default proton version (9.0.3 right now) the first time I tried to start it it got to the frozenbyte logo then froze (lol), and further attempts to restart didn't start at all. After switching to GE it worked.

Text alignment is buggy on the Steam Deck but still readable (words are differing in hight and font)
Current proton version (9.0-2 and 8.0-5) forces 30 fps, to have unlocked fps you would need to use the proton version 7.0-6

mangohud gamemoderun %command%
The mouse became laggy if used with proton 8.0.4. Also I experienced a crash after ~20mins of play. Proton 4.11-13 fixed those issues.
mangohud gamemoderun %command%
Mouse was laggy after entering a level. It stayed laggy until restart. Option "gamemoderun" fixed the issue
Works just fine out of the box, i only had problems related to my wi-fi connection.
I had to switch from Proton Experimental to 4.11-13 to be able to play it. Works fine with it

one time when it crashed, we had to replay the level. the other time, the level was finished, my buddy got a spell but I did not. I finished the game with 8 spells instead of the supposed 9.
the game crashed 2 times on the loading screen during a 5 hour multiplayer session.
see stability and saves
still worked good enough to be enjoyable.
In some of the later levels I noticed some graphical issues with some blinking textures or something. It was in the background though so it did not bother the gameplay at all.
The game crashed once but was fine otherwise.
It was a lot of fun and ran great, I don't have any real complaints about it and would highly recommend it.
I had a single crash, played for hours with friends but at one point during the end of a level it crashed. Had to reply level but that was it.
Played with two friends, the game play was really good and we didn't have any issues outside a single crash which might not even be Linuxs fault as some games have stability issues on Windows as well.
Works out of the box. Some text on the main menu has a non-stylized font which looks out of place. The game runs consistently at 60fps on high graphics presets with medium AA. Vsync and/or fps cap can also be enabled.
Works out of the box
Loading screen can take a lot of time sometimes. Do not force close as it will not save your game. just wait it out
Runs very well and without issues. Smaller issue, text with more than one word has two different fonts for each word. It's still readable
font are displayed with different size on the same line
Runs very nicely! Gamepad and online multiplayer work well. Need to restart to apply changes to resolution/fullscreen settings though.
Windowed/fullscreen settings did not take effect until restarting the program

No, simply because of the jarring font issues. If these are resolved, the game is easily Gold.
Text displays incorrectly, using the wrong font type/size throughout menus, but not consistently, so the effect can be jarring and arguably unplayable for some.
Please note, I run an Nvidia 1660TI for games, not integrated graphics per the Steam hardware results.
Need Proton 4.11 because don't start with Proton 5.0
Works out of the box with Proton 5.0.9.
Loading screens can be a little slow at times, but NEVER forcefully close the game when stuck in a loading screen, especially not when exiting the game after a few hours of gameplay. The game does apparently not save your progress to disk before you quit the game or return to the main menu, so interrupting it will cause data loss.
Don't worry about the game crashing, the loading screens just happen to be a little slow at times, but they'll come eventually (up to a few minutes).

It worked amazingly well, no problem even with steam remote play together.
Pretty much works out the box.
Power ups or certain cosmetics created large artefacts. Restarting the games fixes the issue. Seems to only early game levels.
Could crash is controllers disconnect/reconnect.

Can't even launch on proton 5 while everything works flawlessly on proton 4.11-13 for me.
Right click on game -> Properties -> Force use of specific Steamplay compatibility tool -> Proton 4.11-13

Couldn't switch audio output source. You have to plug in headphones before starting game for audio to be on headphones.
Use proton 4.11-13
The game freezes during loading and rarely during gameplay, but it's possible complete it, read my details and see my screenshot.
The game saves, but for some reason the game didn't save, and I had to load a save from 2 hours ago.
If you play in fullscreen, the game may freeze completely on loading and the operating system too. If it does, try windowed mode. In windowed mode, loading may freeze, but wait for a while, and don't press anything, otherwise the system freezes. The game may freeze during gameplay, I can only force the operating system to restart :(
Problem with word placements (except Russian language).
If you want to play in Windowed Mode, add "-windowed" to the launch options.
Screenshot with the graphic settings that made the game more playable and possible to complete it:
I don't know how to answer, since apparently I'm the only one who has reported problems with freezing. When it doesn't freeze it's 60 FPS.
Sometimes my Linux freezes completely after loading the save, this happens either in Fullscreen and Window Mode. (*Forced restart of OS required)
Problem with word placements (except Russian language).
If you want to play in Windowed Mode, add "-windowed" to the launch options.
Screenshots with "DXVK_HUD=full %command%":

Changing OnBatteryRenderingQualityReduction to false helped for 30 FPS lock (/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/471550/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Application Data/NineParchments/options.txt)

The game runs normally for about 20 or 30 minutes and then closes at once showing error code 0xc0000005.

Runs as well for me on Linux as it does on Windows. No tweaks were needed.

Works great.

Run very well but fps is locked to 30 for some reason

By default, I didn't have to do the 30 FPS tweak. It ran perfectly out of the box.

I played the first ten levels, the game runs like a native one.

Appears to work flawlessly, however is locked at 30fps. "TargetSmooth30FPS" defaulted as false in the options already, and messing with vsync \ fps cap options had no effect.

I did not need to make the suggested change to the options.txt, because the TargetSmooth30FPS was already false.

SteamLibrary/steamapps/compatdata/471550/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Application Data/NineParchments/options.txt
- setOption(gameBaseApplicationModule, "TargetSmooth30FPS", true) -> false. Works as one would imagine on system like this.

Works good, but don't know why is capped on 30FPS. Some problem with fonts too.
