runs perfectly even with Logitech g29 steering wheel and other game pheripherals
i use g29 steering wheel with berarma/oversteer, it's fantastic i can change settings (feedback ecc.) during the game without reboot, i use even a separated handbrake e a separated joystick for further functions (windshield wipers, beam, seat regulation ecc.) so i play using 3 peripherals (i check before launch the game they're online using jstest-gtk) and i have no issue.

Without GE-Proton8-14 game crashes. Didn't tried other protons. No need to install any additional stuff.
install DLL mfc42 using Winetricks
Runs brilliantly, just make sure you selsect the correct resolution in the launcher. Also worth turning the steering sensitivity down to 10%, and increasing the deadzone one notch
Not working on Steam deck
Installed mfc42 via protontricks/winetricks.
Steps taken:
- Removed existing prefix
- Selected Proton 5.0-10
- Started game to create new prefix (crashed)
- Installed mfc42 to prefix with winetricks
- Started graphic settings option of game
El juego no se abre
Fui a la carpeta del juego (SteamLibrary/compatdata/44690/pfx) y ejecuté 'winetricks mfc42' en una terminal dentro del directorio. Luego, ejecuté 'winecfg' y en la pestaña 'staging' deshabilité CSMT.
Tampoco funcionó, nunca veo siquiera el menú principal del juego :(

After running "WINEPREFIX=~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/44690/pfx winetricks" and installing mfc42, the game would start. But it would run so slowly, it was unplayable.
The game need to install mfc42 with Winetricks/Protontricks. With the previous versions of Proton, the game was unplayable because it worked too slow., but with the last 4.11-2 runs good. There are not Force Feedback Effects with my Logitech G29, but the rest of the wheel functios are allowed. More info: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/2728
I installed mfc42 and the game started. However I had to disable CSMT via winetricks in order to get more FPS than 1 ;)After that the game worked fine.
"Insufficient video memory detected. A minimum of 32 MB of free video memory required."
Install mfc42 through winetricks and disable CSMT through winecfg or regedit to get the game running properly. Both Singleplayer and Multiplayer were tested, controller input and audio work properly as well. Performance seems to be like native.
The game starts after adding mfc42 throught Protontricks but is horribly slow. Needs investigation.
