Could not find a setting configuration for launching the game, crashes after clicking start. No screen or anything
Tried using lutris and bottles but had the same issue launching the steam client
(none)
Credits to Xolum. The reason for the game crashing instantly upon launch is due to MSAA being forced.
Follow these steps to fix it: 1.) Open your file browser. 2.) Paste this into your file browser's search bar (without the quotes) "/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/411970/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/TY the Tasmanian Tiger 2/" 3.) In there should be a file named settings.ini. Open it up with a text editor app. 4.) There should be a line in there that says MSAA = 2x. Delete the 2x after the equal symbol and then save the changes. 5.) Open the game and it should work without any problems!
MSAA in settings.ini file must be edited to even launch the game.
Config file needs to be edited to launch the game. Otherwise it won't open. Tinkering with files is required.
Unable to boot if MSAA is enable
Use proton next (7.6) and don't enable MSAA. Everything else is gud
Borked... for now.
Game does not launch when installed through the Linux Steam client. To properly launch the game, install the Windows Steam client in its own prefix and install the game from that client.
Game crashes right after the tutorial making it impossible to progress
Tried every proton version.
Ran flawlessly out of the box, with ultrawide support and great framerates
Still Runs like a beauty.
this game runs flawlessly and i would assume it was native to linux had it not asked me to use steamplay.
make sure that you use proton 4.2-9 as the game will not run on newer versions.
YOU LITTLE BEAUTY! It run's perfectly!
I don't know how, or if it's just me but it feels better on Linux.

Runs perfectly! PS4 controller works for me when I connect it through USB and disable controller support in steam. The game can stutter a bit at first when loading stuff for the first time as the same with any other proton compatible game.

Wholly playable, some performance drops compared to running on Windows, no working controller support.
