Alt-Tabbing can cause the window to become stuck at a quarter size of the screen, similar to issues with this on Windows. No fix found yet.
Works rather well thus far, just has issues with Alt-Tabbing but this is the case on Windows too.

Display bug on launcher but not after clic play

Specific Proton version and launch option required or cutscenes and mouse movement experience sagnificant lag
Game is fully playable and runs flawlessly with specific proton version and dx3 launch option, otherwise cutscenes and audio stutters and mouse movement is laggy. Issue can also be fixed by forcing windowed with -w launch option but due to its low default resolution the screen is small and text is difficult to read, so fullscreen in dx3 is a better option.

It's an old game, they crash
One of the final missions with the nuke has a bug where the nuke won't go off. I think this happens if you use turn-based mode during the countdown. Just run the clock down during turn-based and it should trigger the cutscene.

On the first launch, the intro cinematic won't play properly, but after changing to the correct resolution in the main menu, the cinematic works.
Fullscreen and alt-tabbing worked correctly. However, sometimes after alt-tabbing the game stops registering some keys. This is a game-related bug and not related to Proton. To fix this, you need to quicksave by pressing Alt+S.
Menu at startup looks messed up. It has no effect in game.
Steam should be aware of the best Proton version to run a game with. That way, this kind of tinkering would become transparent to a user.
first screen loads, hit starts then major rescource draw . goes to grey screen then nothing.
borked.
Fullscreen would just not work at all. Had to use windowed instead

Only runs through Lutris in Desktop Mode. The game launcher doesn't run from Gaming Mode and the game closes immediately. Adding a Steam shortcut through Lutris does not work either.
Only runs in Desktop Mode when installed with Lutris
Works in Linux, doesn't work in Windows
Takes some in game tweaking to have the resolution make sense
Ran out of the box
In windows, I've spent hours trying to get this to work. It just worked in Linux, no issues at all. Thanks GNU/Linux!

The game works out of the box!
The game minimized and went into my tool bar. I clicked it and the game started.
Full screen leads to choppy visuals.
Sometimes CTRL or ALT fails work as expected. ALT+TAB out, then in to fix.
Works well if using windowed mode and Proton 5.09 and lower. Does not launch with Proton 5.13.
Fullscreen mode has stuttering issues. Windowed runs just fine.
Stuttering in fullscreen mode. Use windowed workaround.
Use Proton 5.09 or lower. The game does not launch with 5.13.
Works great! Fullscreen the videos stutter, but Windowed they play correctly.
Videos stutter if playing Fullscreen, but playing Windowed they play correctly.
I launched the windowed version by choosing the windows 8 workaround from the popup Steam shows when launching the game. Worked perfectly.
I had enjoyed when I passed the game.
If you don't setting your native resolution you'll have choppy scenes, but if you setting lower resolution interface won't change.
Sometime when you use alt-tab and return to game, you may have problems with shortcuts press "ALT" to fix it.
Runs fine and smoothly. Remember to put proper resolution.
Don't play in too high resolution though. It doesn't seem to scale that well.

Rename BOS.exe to TacticsLauncher.exe. first cinematic will be glitchy just skip it. its because of your monitor resolution. in the game menu go to options and edit resolution according to your display. a restart of game maybe required. and you are good to go.

Runs perfectly out of the box. Choppy scenes can be fixed by setting resolution to your (native resolution) + (x 32). For example : 1366 x 768 x 32 is the setting I use.

With Proton 4.2-3 it's no longer necessary to rename files - game runs out of the box. To fix choppy movies change resolution and select 32-bit mode (as mentioned above). Alt-tab works without problems. Steam overlay does not work at all. When notifications happen (e.g. when changing volume in OS), space button stops working - mouse input and other keys on keyboard still work (e.g. you can run by pressing shift and double click) - so game is playable. Space fixes itself after loading save, restarting map, etc.

After configuring (see below) videos play well, BUT switching window (alt+tab) or changing the screen brightness, volume or something similar which shows an OSD (notification drawn on top of active windows) completely breaks the game window (it stops responding to clicks or keypresses). If you can completely disable and OSDs I guess it may be safe enough.
CONFIGURATION (As previously mentioned): Replace TacticsLauncher.exe with BOS_HR.exe (BOS.exe works too, but you can only use this on old screens with low resolutions). Then launch and skip and videos (press Esc). Go to Options -> Display and pick your native resolution and 32bit (these options are not in order, but my native resolution was the first one).

Works well after renaming BOS.exe to TacticsLauncher.exe and set 32bit color in game settings

The intro movie plays fine after following tweaks: 1) replace TacticsLauncher.exe with BOS_HR.exe 2) select your native resolution and 32bpp (32bpp is important). Resolutions are not sorted correctly in options, so look for correct one.

Rename BOS_HR.exe to TacticsLauncher.exe 1st videoclip sucks, later videos are fine. High-Res 2560x1440 works fine in-game, main menu is very small. Didn't find a way to scale up.

Copy BOS_HR.exe to TacticsLauncher.exe. Cutscenes stutter.

Game runs perfectly but cutscenes stutter. Need to rename BOS.exe to TacticsLauncher.exe
