Handheld mode 8tdp 40fps
Played on handheld mode 30 % 40 fps on fhd beamer 70% 60fps, it was unbelievable good!

Läuft Out of the Box perfekt, selbst docked in 1080p noch mit 60fps in 1440p sind es noch so 40-50 in 4k nur noch rund 20
Titelbildschirm sieht aus wie ein Testbild

Plays good out of the box even without using Proton GE. I started playing this without any tinkering and other than the weird start menu background video becoming this static tv screen, the game plays just fine. Use Proton GE if that start menu bothers you too much
Have to use GE otherwise black screen after title screen, also disable vsync from quick access menu

High settings run at a fairly stable 60FPS. Medium settings, 45FPS, 1280x800 works well with 10W TDP.
L4 to run. R4 to aim.
45FPS Medium. 10W TDP.
I have over 90 hours in the game and have crashed only twice when trying to go to new areas through entrance/exits
I preferred the in-game control layout "Type B" as L2/R2 are easier to hold onto than L1/R1, especially as a ranged vocation where you're aiming for extended periods. Maximum camera sensitivity.
If you put the deck to sleep and come back audio will crackle, restart the game to fix it
All of the 2 cutscenes this game has won't work without GE proton and even then there's no audio
Limit to 40 FPS
Sometimes crashes when entering a new area (entering town, leaving town, etc.)
Completed a playthrough using a combination of Steamdeck and Xbox 360 controller via wireless dongle. No issues found.
videos don't play
Plays fine without a hitch. Can even install QoL mods without extra tinkering.
Runs great on the Steam Deck, controller support gives multiple different default configurations
Seems fine for what I played. I didn't play extensively, only the early "Off With It's Head" quest.. or the Hydra caravan escort mission.
Vibration seemed to excessively rumble, so disabled that.
Re-installed it on Deck and I'm able to play seemingly without issue? Maybe SteamOS 3.3 fixed it? To preface this, a few weeks ago Dragon's Dogma would install and start, but the loading screen would just loop and never get into the game.
SteamOS 3.3 fixed the Xbox login issue I had with my "Double NAT" Google Nest/Wifi router and State of Decay 2.
Not sure if Dragon's Dogma had a related issue, because I was able to load a game cleanly last night and today (online was enabled within Dragon's Dogma for the pawn). The escort mission I finished went fine, but It was mostly dark, I didn't notice any graphical issues.
It seemed to have worked in Proton Experimental, but I just finished an early mission without compatibility (default) and worked fine. These are Valve's notes under Game info if interested: "Runs on this computer via Steam Play. 7.0-3 selected by Valve testing."
The game is perfectly enjoyable in spite of some minor graphical bugs like borked cloth and hair physics and unexpected dips below 40 fps.
Cloth and hair physics is disabled or bugged and unstable on some mantles (like the leather cape) and hairstyles (e.g. ponytails).
Framerate occasionally dips below 40 even on medium settings.
Launching without Proton Experimental results in a bug that disables inputs after pressing the start button to enter the game menu.
Pre rendered cutscences are without audio...all 2 of them
Got one crash in 30 hours
40hz
FMV in the early segment of the story was mute. Possible later FMVs will be mute, but people say there are very few.
The frame rate fluctuates enough that you should run at 40hz for a consistent experience. I suggest maxing all settings except setting HDR to Low and Distance Scaling to Medium. Shadows and Textures should be High. Game is forced 16:9 and even widescreen mods cannot seem to expand vertically to 16:10 ratio. There will be black bars.
Set 40 FPS limit and half-rate shading
Crashed once in 5 hours of play

I changed the refresh rate to 40.
I was able to get into the game and play. However, while on the first boss, I paused and hit the Steam button. This caused my controller inputs to stop being detected. If I hit the Steam key again, the controller would work again, but upon trying to exit the Pause menu, the game would stop responding to controller inputs.
GEProton7-18 was required to ensure hitting the Steam Button did not lock you within the pause menu.
Without GEProton7-18, launching through the Steam Deck causes hitting the steam button to force the game in to the pause screen, without any way to navigate out. After updating to 7-18 and forcing compatibility, it appears to work fine!
Whenever I'd press the Steam button, the game would automatically pause and my controller would not work. Pressing the steam button again would reinitiate controller access however, when I try to unpause the game, the pause menu immediately pops up again. The only way to unpause in that scenario would be to exit the game or to the main menu and reload my save. This happened with all different versions of proton that I listed. (GE Proton 7-15, Experimental and default proton)
