Only works on 8.0-4. Regression in 9.0+ makes the backend crash.

Keyboard input = Crash instantly
switched through every proton version i could find
Any keyboard input trips the keyboard module as "null input" -- this is unplayable. It works with controller, but a graze of your keyboard will turn off the game instantly. No proton versions fix this.

vblank_mode=1 %command%
Strangely, not only does the game's full screen option drastically reduce performance, but it doesn't work correctly (the Plasma taskbar remained visible). Turning off the option addressed both issues.
In addition to disabling the full screen in-game option for an effective full screen mode (really), I found it necessary to coerce vsync at the level of the amdgpu driver to eliminate tearing. The game is also very slow to start up but runs well once its menu has appeared.
Works perfectly with Proton 7.0-2 flatpak community build.
Game works out of the box
On the first boot the game seemed to softlock on the "press any button" screen, but after a few seconds it loaded. This only happened on the very first boot and not subsequent ones and did not affect its playability.
Sound is a bit crackly, but that might be issue with my setup, other than this, game plays perfectly
Now works great out of the box. Tested with xbox one controller.
Tried the primary game mode twice with a keyboard, so far no issues.
Just a brief test, but I can confirm the game can be launched and played using Proton 4.11-8. Xbox 360 controller works.
