Works by default on Proton 9.
Was able to load the game and play some of the first level. No Vulkan or GL tinkering needed.

PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %COMMAND%
The game does not launch without tinkering. I had to set it to use OpenGL with the environment variable above. Runs well without any issues afterwards.

Doesn't run natively nor with Proton
Throws two errors "Error: initialize game" and "FATAL ERROR". Running Fedora 39 with Steam Flatpak. Tried without Proton and with Proton Experimental, 9.0 and 8.0-5.

Changed in-game bindings.
Audio is slightly distorted. Most noticable ln music track.
On inital launch you need to select your language, which needs to be done with either the touchscreen or cursor
No issues except when quitting.
Quitting causes the the window to close but the game will continue to hang. Got around this by just force quitting from steam.
gamemoderun %command%
Only addition was running with Feral GameMode for better performance on my laptop. Should still run fine without on Proton 7.X. No problems to report. Played the entire pilot. Excellent experience. Looking forward to future episodes.
Perfect
Played it from start to end with no tinkering whatsoever

Managed to fix the crackling by adding "PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=90 %command%" to the game's command line.
Audio crackles by default
Works out of the box with every proton version I tested
Tested on a Playstation 3 controller. No weird tweeks, just sit and play.
Works 100%
The audio was is a bit distorted, nothing to worry if you're not too into it, so no problem, game, runs almost as native.
Plays perfectly out of the box.
Plug and play. Worked out of the box.
Finished normal run with no issues

Crashes on the first level.

Game works on Proton out of the box.

Was initially slow to launch but runs perfectly.
