Force Launch Option to "Linux & SteamOS Launch Option"
To run on Linux:
- do not force Proton
- it will download the native Linux depot
- when running, select "Linux & SteamOS Launch Option" otherwise it will try to run the .exe file and it will fail
To run on Steam Deck:
Valve's verified program automatically selects Proton 9 for this game if you are on Steam Deck. To fix this:
- force Steam Linux Runtime 1.0 (scout) in the Compatibility section
- it will download the Linux depot
- when running, select "Linux & SteamOS Launch Option" otherwise it will try to run the .exe file and it will fail

Borked after an update
Complete crash after launch after update with no resolution in a month.

Despite being listed as native its not/
Make sure to use proton

Not Linux native and borked after update(s)
Worked fine before update with proton experimental
Not a native linux game, borked always after updates

Whenever I open the latest versions of proton, even in experimental, it only opens up to the unity screen and then closes
I already try all versions of proton, try use wine, reinstall and change to the principal ssd
Crashes after the unity screen show

crash immediately after launch the game

Low effort native port, just boots up the exe with wine

Low effort linux native port (It tries to launch the windows exe with wine, didn't start for me tho). Just switch to forced proton

work fine

Just as others have said, just enable Forced Proton by Properties > Compatibility > Forced the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool and leave it at Experimental. The game should boot up now without any problems.

Use forced proton, any should work, but i used experimental.

Banana
despite it saying it supports linux on the steam page it doesn't, so you have to run it through proton like any other windows games
