perfectly fine with proton hotfix. have not tested native linux build however

You need to go to game setting and select compatability and force it to use Proton Experimental
Graphical glitches during the tuturial, but normal gameplay had no glitches.
Not sure why it's labeled as "Native" since it needs Proton and I even had to force experimental. That said, I played a match online and it played flawlessly.

After running application and splash screen I got "Fatal error!" message which closes everything.
PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 -dx11 -useallavailablecores
Can't run

Mouse would not move the camera when running Linux native build. Proton Hotfix fixed.
Choosing combatibility tool to Proton Experimental in general Steam settings wasn't enough. I had to go to Splitgate 2's properties and force game to use Proton experimental combatibility tool.
Um FPS bastante tático e divertido
Nothing happens when I start the game. Within two seconds, Steam "launching" ends.

Native stopped launching, had to force Proton Experimental
winediscordipcbridge-steam.sh %command%

Had to change default to Experimental Proton or Cachy Proton

Yesterday It ran with the Proton Experimental but today i had to swith to the 10.0-1 (beta) compatibility mode

PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 %command%
Had to update my drivers, after that, the game runs great

Worked great with no tweaks to launch options or graphics

it gets a bit choppy every now and then for a few seconds

After complaining to the developers, they updated the game to work with Linux -- https://steamcommunity.com/id/JJDizz1L/recommended/2918300

Yes, on Steam Deck. But on Linux desktop, you must choose a Proton version
Will install and lauch for a total of 3 seconds not reaching any menus / opening a window, i cannot see splitgate running as a process ):
Works perfectly!

Im pretty sure it's my Hardware's fault, this PC is old but yea performance wasn't good.
For now, Proton 10.0-1 (beta) was the only way to make it work for me, that being said, no more tinkering was needed. Game worked perfectly. No crashes, no bugs so far. Even with poor performance on my hardware's end the game was playabe and enjoyable.

ubuntu 25 / proton experimental

installation and boot was normal, compiling vulkan shaders took a while but resolved.
getting 90+ fps on ultra with a gtx 1650. pretty solid right out of the gate.

I don't notice any difference in playing the game on Linux VS Windows. Really enjoying the game. Bonus that the game is fun
Mouse input wasn't detected, Controller worked. Switched to Proton Beta from 9.0-4 and no problems since
The Mouse input wasn't detected in Linux, but this is a known bug, switch to Proton Experimental and you should be good to go!

Required me to change versions or mouse input would not work
Just needs to make sure that proton version is right.

Mouse would not register untill switching to proton 10

STEAM_COMPAT_MOUNTS=/mnt/ssd %command% %U
If you having issues with game installed on mounted drives (Installed, not launching) add STEAM_COMPAT_MOUNTS=/pathto/diskmountpoint %command% %U to steam launch settings and game will run perfect.
Works great. Played 2 matches with no hiccups. No lag, stable smooth 60+ fps on auto detect settings.

After it didn't run on linux, they fixed it and now it works like a charm. Currently they don't have a native version of the game like the first one did, but hopefully that will come with full release.
No issues to report other than a few bugs that seem to be beta bugs and not compatibility bugs. Plays like native, and has no major issues.

Proton Hotfix - Runs perfect out of the box, 120+ FPS on the detected graphics settings. 100+ all on Ultra.
No tweaks necessary when using Proton Hotfix.

Decent game overall, new modes added regularly atm. Would like some kind of ranked system or a way to see people's player rating.
PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=1 -dx11 -useallavailablecores
The BETA itself may have occasional connection problems, but currently they seem largely resolved.
Moderate tinkering required, seems to work for some people out of the box. AMD GPUs may perform better.

Works Out-of-the-box

Screens went to sleep at one point, when I got back half the game window was blacked out.
Developer added support for Proton after community feedback.

Game launches but crashes when loading a map regardless of Proton version-works only if installed in /home with Proton 10+ Fedora 42

Game launches fine, but after launching a map it crashes. Doesn't matter what proton version i use. I have the game installed on permamently mounted drive with ALL possible privilages, the startup command i use is for the steam to use prefix in /home instead of external drive (without this command game wouldn't start at all). Worth to mention that installing the game in the default download directory works fine with any proton version over 10.

Good old Splitgate, but better. Glad to be back !

possibly minimal lag but might as well be my internet connection
