Runs as smooth as the trains on the lines. Just wish the passengers weren't so impatient.

Definitely a great game to play on Linux
Works out of the box

Works with Proton 9.0-2
Had to force the use of Proton 9.0-2 as the game would not launch. Once I checked the box to use Proton 9.0-2, the game worked as expected with no issues.

Worked more or less perfectly out of the box.
Blank title bar over graphics on launch. Resolved by turning Fullscreen off and on again.

game does not start in native for some reason, switching to proton gets it working fine
Works perfectly, very addicting, I do reccomend.
Works flawlessly

Switched downo from GE's proton to default steam proton, on GE's got black screen but now it works great

Steam defaulted to a community layout that took me a while to figure out
Doesn't work with Proton-GE (unresponsive black screen, no audio), use regular Proton instead
Install and play! Nothing more to it.
I had to switch from Proton GE (7.55-1) to whatever Steam supplies (8.0-1). GE only yielded a black window with no content or audio.
Steam likes to use community layout for controlling the game, however I think Keyboard (WASD) and Mouse is a better choice as it doesn't use gyroscope to control the mouse, which feels odd in a game like this.
Works as native, 'cause it is
Smooth experience. Controls aren't quite as well designed for joystick as the sequel, Mini Motorways, but fine other than that.
Native worked perfectly
Had no trouble with Mini Metro. Touchscreen-friendly.
One of my favorite games on Steam
Always had a pleasant experience with Mini Metro. Love playing this on my touchscreen laptop (which also runs Arch Linux). Never had issues with Mini Metro.
Native version didn't have my screen resolution (3840x1600) so had to switch to proton
