When placing blocks at high speed, the world may flicker. This rarely happens though.

mangohud gamemoderun %command%
Resolution is restored by default when I exit the game. I have to change it every time I enter. No problem :)
I didn't have very many problems with my hardware. The game is playable in general.

Game is smooth enough on my hardware, but there is some occasional stuttering when loading chunks. Windows is the system of choice here.
gamemoderun %command%
Command fixes the game, without gamemoderun %command%, the game crashes on world join. Total beginner, IDK what gamemoderun does, but it fixed it. Vivimus_Mori is the hero for providing a solution.

gamemoderun %command%
Some screen tearing which could be fixed with a tinker on Vsync.
Going fullscreen or windowed fullscreen INITIALLY caused very heavy artifacts in the main menu. However switching to windowed and changing my Anti-aliasing option in settings removed the issue and now works alright fullscreen.
The game CAN RUN without too many changes. Using the latest build of proton experimental as of this report, running gamemode, and changing my anti-aliasing option to fit my hardware made it playable. Just keep one thing in mind: MY HARDWARE BLOWS. I don't even have a dedicated GPU or CPU I have an APU (All Processing Unit), it's one thing doing two jobs. So chances are if you have hardware that's better than mine but still AMD the game would run very smoothly. And yes, this is the definitive edition.
Happy gaming!
Unable to Migrate a world, Unable to play.
Devs are pretty much keeping their mouths shut as to what they did. Absolutely NO HELP THERE, AT ALL. Seriously? They said they were using outdated libssl instead of libssl3, and who knows what else. Not even a hint as to what kind of proton they might have tested with. I will never run an old ubuntu just for this game. I am seriously disappointed with them atm. I am glad they added more time for MIGRATING I think, unless I'm wrong.
Fensterchen "Spiel wird gestartet" ist sichtbar, nach ca. einer Minute verschwindet es und das Spiel endet. Kein Spielfenster sichtbar -.-
Auch mit GE-Proton7-9 und Parameter PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command% versucht. Keine Änderung. Spiel startet nicht.
Definitive Edition installs, opens but doesn't let you play
gamemoderun %command%
Everything smooth until I hit that "PLAY" button, then the application gets stuck and I've to force close it. I tried with different proton versions, GE, 7.0-5, nothing changes. :(
Definitive Edition doesn't migrate or play
Using no command line options, I got the game to display a startup screen with menu options. You can change your settings, but Migrate doesn't migrate, Play doesn't play, and Quit doesn't quit. Had to tab over to Steam and tell it to stop the game to make it stop.
The Definitive Edition b0rked Linux Installs
Now that Creativerse has moved to their Definitive Version, the game no longer installs. I see a blank screen, briefly, when disappears as a Unity dialog appears with a progress indicator, then... nothing. The game just stops. Can't migrate my world until we figure this out.
Menu is very lagged. the game uses more gpu and cpu to run, not recommended for lower setups.
Multiplayer Perfect
Need a good pc to run 60 Frames
Runs amazing out of the box, with good fps, I didn't try the multiplayer.
controls are wonk, out of the box its not working as intended
sometimes lagspikes and stutters
PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
Mouse movement with the ENTIRE system (including the game) is VERY slow and buggy. To fix, use this in the launch options: PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
Working perfectly fine.

game is fully playable id think on latest steam proton with setting the launch options as PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
got a playable 30 fps but fps drops in your backpack and at the games main menu
Explicitly used: PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
without that mouse moves incredibly slow in the application but also in the entire operating system
Fixed by using the D3D11 option
entire system was slow with mouse movement until I applied the D3D11 fix
The proton 5.0.10 work on this game.

Used Proton 6.1 GE -2
Great gameplay with only 1 minor audio issue.
I can always hear the world, but say I'm pulling from my tames the sound stops after about 30 seconds.
It would Start great and as you play it would start to stutter
The experience is cool, but after 30 minutes playing freezes start to be a little bit disturbing
Some freeze when touching blocks (taking and putting)
Played with Proton 5.0-5
Everything works Just like playing on other common Operating Systems.
TO PLAY ON LINUX
- If the game doesnt run on you without tweaks try to Set Launch Option to "PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%" (don't use this if it runs fine without tweaks you might experience missing textures in-game)
- Game Startup is Slow Just wait for it.
- Singleplayer and Online works fine.
- Proton Version I use for testing Proton 4.11-7,Proton 4.11-8,Proton 4.11-9

when i run the game it shows me a loading message then it disappear and nothing else

All working as well

No tweaks required, runs perfectly.

Working like a charm

Game window doesn't show, nor does a crash popup. I tried the WINED3D settings to no avail.

i just download the game and run it with the latest proton

The game launches, but when I try to load a world, it sits indefinitely on the loading screen; the world never loads, so I can't play.

No need of using Wine D3D11 tweak for me with my setup. Using this beta Proton version (out of the box) solves even the missing text problems on some buttons. I haven't seen any bug or problem. I can't compare the games performance to the natively supported OS at this time, but It runs just how I expected it will run on integrated graphics. A few stutters here and there, nothing serious.

The game crashed, but after using the D3d11 tweak, it started perfectly. Performance was fine using the latest available drivers for my 710M card (390.87).

No tweaks, as I was unaware of them. Only issues are Scratchy audio (music/sound fx/etc.) and unable to see the text in the Help menu or for "Apply" "Reset to Default" in the Settings. Every once in a while I lose my mouse when trying to exit the game.

setting 'PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command% ' in game properties in steam works

Works perfectly with PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%

Put "PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%" without the quotes to the games launch options. It runs perfectly, but performance was lower than i expected it to be.

Crashes at start. Error log says something about DirectX11 failed to start, but steam installed DirectX9 so i guess that is the problem.

After some Updates it works very well, highest perfomance

Worked really great
