Protontricks is installed but not used for this game
The custom cursor the game uses seems discolored
Tried this on my low-end AMD laptop (Pop!_OS 21.04 is also installed on there) and the game crashes upon startup. Same issue with any Unity-based game with Proton. However, I know it's a driver issue with AMD CPUs (and potentially GPUs) and NOT with Proton, as I got the previous game in this series (Bloons TD 5) to run just fine.

Mouse movement with the ENTIRE system (including the game) is VERY slow and buggy. To fix, use this in the launch options: PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 %command%
I used a custom GE version of Proton, but this game should run with a normal Steam Proton.

Set graphics to low ingame + 30fps. Can get you 4hrs battery life. Intro / tutorial does nearly bottleneck the iGPU since it defaults to "ultra" graphics.
