Got Involuntary QA on launch even though it didn't crash lol

Game defaults to 720p with a wrong aspect ratio. Have to manually change it to 800p.

Crash around 30 seconds in.
Using either Steam Native runtimes (1.0 and 3.0) didn't change anything. Would suggest running the Windows version via Proton.

The game runs well on a variety of hardware, great and fun game would recommand!
(Native Port)
My Main System (The side should have it with my profile)
Run no issues, ran great (using controllers was stupid, but it's not any Linux issues and is a game issue)!
My Laptop
Ryzen 5500u + Vega 7
Since I have to use Xrandr since MATE has issues on my display (way way way too small) it's a weird resulation which has massive overscan issues. You must first set it to normal xrandr --output eDP --primary --mode 1920x1080 --scale 1x1 disable full-screen (even if I use my xrandr res it still has bad overscan) and it runs well! Normal laptops and hell if you have a 720p or 1080p laptop or a normal res you'd be fine.
Steam Deck:
Runs great no issues at all!

Works about as well as Goat Simulator on any of the last gen consoles docked and handheld. No comment on multiplayer.
A lot of crashes will occur if you select more than 2 mods to add to your goat.
The games main menu screen will be different based on which world you visited previous, which sounds cool in concept. However, if your menu screen is "Waste of Space" themed, there will be a significant slowdown in menu navigation and even a few crashes. This pushes people on steam deck into never checking out "Goat Sim: Waste of Space", which is a shame. It'd be nice if they fixed this.
Joining a Remote Play session through the Steam Deck is still rough, even a year later. I have not tried hosting a Remote Play session of my own.
If you exclusively play "Goat Simulator: Waste of Space" and avoid all of the other maps, then you will hate this port of the game, due to how slow starting up every session becomes. Otherwise, if you play a lot of single player and can handle limiting some of your goat mods, this version of Goat Sim is quite nice to have on SD

45 fps on medium settings
Sometimes crashed when loading into the map, never in game though
Frame limit 30
Frame rate can tank if a lot is happening or you spawn too much junk, but that's understandable.
Slightly wrong resolution (set to 1280x600 instead of 1280x800) This can be fixed in the games settings.
Native works with some performance issues. Graphical performance itself is fine, but CPU usage is very high for no justifiable reason.
Camera movement was stuttery and snappy, most likely due to the bad frametimes caused by the mysteriously high CPU usage
Performance isn't great despite the <30% GPU usage, I was expecting much higher framerates and consistent frametimes. CPU usage is very high.
two people with controllers via steamplay doesn't seem to work. But one person with controller and one with keyboard works fine.
baaahh
The Native version is broken, crashes at the splash screen. Proton Experimental and Proton 7.x is unstabe and crashes frequently. Proton 6.3-8 provides the best experience at this point.
Shows the logo, but after a couple of seconds disappears, the game does not start.

Works well out of the box, with some very minor texture issues
Goat's texture sometimes takes a second to load if the goat's been off camera for a while. Also some minor tearing which v-sync doesn't seem to fix.

The Japanese translation of this game is too interesting.

Works out of the box with proton 4.11. No Tweaks needed.

Everything works EXCEPT the Payday DLC. Payday DLC instantly crashes upon loading the level with D9VK 0.20. Memory issues also cause crashes when playing for an extended period of time. When the game is working though, performance on the base game, Goat City Bay, the MMO DLC, and the Zombie DLC is much better than native. Waste of Space DLC still has performance issues at 4K, but it isn't as bad as native OpenGL.

D9VK 0.12 broke the game. May be a Nvidia issue or a D9VK 0.12 issue. Tested on 4.2-7 and GloriousEggroll Proton 4.11-1.

Game works native on Linux. On Proton it works out of the box, but performance was bad. I installed manually D9VK and it worked great without any issue with this DX9 to Vulkan translation, no graphical glitches anymore!
