Runs like a dream, but lacks native controller support. A community controller layout is strongly recommended for this game.
This game does not have native controller support. I created(and used) a controller layout that binds essential keybinds to face and shoulder buttons without reliance on back grip buttons as I feel they're unnecessary. Building controls are bound to the left trackpad and actions are bound to the face buttons and D-Pad. The right trackpad is used for standard mouse control. The left and right analog sticks control movement and camera/mouse respectively.

Pretty much perfect out of the box
Pretty much the same online experience as on Windows
Overall the game is pretty much perfect with very minimal tinkering on the recommended version of Proton. I did notice that when trying to load a few select addons onto my own singleplayer game it would crash during loading, Gamemode_Slayer was one of them, but Blockland is fairly unstable with loading addons anyway, even on Windows.
Mouse is buggy if my polling rate is set higher then 125
Flawless if you have an NVIDIA GPU, still completely playable with AMD.
Setting shaders above Minimum causes the game to crash. This appears to be specific to AMD GPUs.
At times, performs better than on a native Windows installation. I miss having shaders, but it is what it is.
Runs mostly fine, needs control mapping, and Shadows needs to be 'Low' or lower to prevent instant crashing when loading a game.
No official layout, no native gamepad support
Setting Shadows above Low instantly crashed the game when rendering 3d.

Works great, even with all my hundreds of addons
With Linux, something about the game or input is tied to the FPS with no frame skip, so you must maintain a consistent framerate or even your mouse looking will be inconsistent.
I did not test multiplayer, since I have a legacy BL_ID account and not a Steam account
Works as well as on Windows

Overall works extremely well.
Fullscreen mode changes takes an unusually long time to apply (30+ seconds)
Mouse input polling doesn't appear to compensate when framerate drops. Need consistent 60+ fps to have correct mouse input.
It worked, aside from weird resolution issues.
I am using i3 so I had to fullscreen with i3 then the option to set the resolution to my monitors appeared

Fails to load past initializing Steam API since Proton 5.1-GE-1
Begins to load up until it hits Steam stuff, then it freezes. Game works fine in Proton versions 5.0-GE-1 and older.

works fine just like on windows, nothing else needed to be installed

From what I have seen, the game is running just fine. I am not experiencing the shader issues others are. It may be because my GPU is Nvidia, not AMD. Otherwise, the game is running seemingly perfect!

Runs perfectly on max settings, however, shaders must be disabled or put on the "minimum" setting I got 140 FPS on Linux, which is surprisingly better than Windows, that may not be accurate on all machines, however.

Runs nearly perfectly out of the box, However, Trying to set shaders to anything above minimum causes a crash.

The game for me would not launch. So i simply set the launch options to "dxlevel -80" and the game launched from there, no issues.

Entire game works absolutely perfectly with equal or even better performance than the same machine running it with Windows. Only issue is that Shaders only work on the lowest setting, any higher and the game instantly crashes.

I had to adjust the DX level to 80 from the launch options by doing "-dxlevel 80" to get the game to launch.
The performance is great! it runs way better on Proton than it does on windows!

Crashes after loading a map, however setting shader quality to 'lowest' or off fixes the crash any other graphic setting can be set to max. Game runs perfectly fine otherwise.

Works perfectly as far as I can tell.

Performance sometimes better than windows

No sound at all

Runs flawlessly
