PROTON_LOG=1 %command%

Funciona bem no modo indicado pelo Steam, porém selecionando o Proton GE rodou bem melhor e com menos stutters que no Proton padrão.
Roda bem no padrão, mas roda bem melhor no Proton GE.

Все работает "из коробки"

Everything works out of the box

Game runs nativly on deck, though deck does run quite hot while playing.

When i ran i natively there where no sound... might be some dependencies i was missing. Switching to proton, and sound was back.
I dunno how to solve the sound issue on the native port... i didnt need to try because proton version just worked.
The game did not have any sound, but I fixed it by installing pipewire-alsa:i386.

It's got humour, Heavy Metal and Jack Black... if you like those 3 things then this is a winner.
Very loud buzzing sound from surround channels when docked.
Downgrade to Proton 8-0-x to get rid of the audio bug (loud buzzing noise)

Download and Play
The game works perfectly.
Fully working out of the box

Consistent gamebreaking crash before final mission. Possibly it has been fixed since then (played in 2023/04), otherwise I can't recommend.
Game constantly crashed at a certain point before the very last mission. Tried multiple Proton versions but no luck. Unfortunate.

working great!
in the native variant, the audio did not work for me. Using Proton 8.0-5 did work fine
Great game for any Heavy Metal fans!
The game works natively with OpenGL
Game felt not smooth on stock settings | Stutters when "Hi-Fi Sim" enabled
On stock settings the game felt like 30 fps while the performance overlay says stable 60fps.
To make this game run smooth. You need to enable the option: Hi-Fi Sim under Options > Game. After that. The game stutters frequently but the performance overlay still says smooth 60fps.
To fix that frequent stutter. Use Glorious Eggroll's Proton (in my case version 7-21 as i already had installed that version). After that these stutters were gone and the performance overlay also now work properly.
If you used these 2 tweaks, you should have a smooth experience. I only played for about 10 minutes though so i can't say if the game would be smooth everywhere.
Open world seems fine (i think about 40 to 50% GPU usage) but in a camp the GPU goes to about 82% usage.
I had to remap the left/right D-Pad buttons, that weren't correctly mapped out of the box (the character could only move up and down).
Lower FPS than my can handle, stuttering
Stuttering
In order to help with the stuttering, you have to go to Settings > Game > Enable HiFi Simulation
Played the whole campaign on the Deck, some rare and minor issues like the sound cracking (but i think it's not the game's fault) and in some cutscenes the framerate looks like it's dropping, but not a single other issue.
Works great with default Proton
I tried native version it launched but there were no audio. I switched to Proton everything works fine.
Native Linux version bugs out on ultrawide monitors cutting off the top half of the screen. Windows version under proton seems to not have any issues and supports 21:9 ultrawide without issue.
I don't know why Steam uses Proton by default for this game. I remember playing the native Linux version years ago without a single problem, and it still works perfectly on Steam Deck. To be fair, I haven't tried the multiplayer part of Brutal Legend (never liked it), so maybe they chose Proton for better multiplayer compatibility. If you're only interested in the story, you can safely switch to Steam Linux Runtime.

Played 19h and 45% story made and I not got any problem. Initially, I runed with Proton Experimental and was fine.
No idea with a Proton 7.0-2(Because its the latest right now), and Proton 5.x or 6.x probably they all mentioned above run good.
Plays fine but the game does have performance issues with can't be resolved by tinkering.
Attempt to use FSR but made no difference
Fluctuating from 60 to 45 no matter what game settings.
install and play
rodando perfeito.
Everything work as expected.
Runs fine, some mild stuttering every now and again, usually when loading into new areas. XBOX ONE controller works as expected.

Played the Native version first, but it was very slow. Play it through proton seem better and greatly faster. I'm not sure it there is some kind of graphic bug for i can't see the light points that marks the path, but i don't know if there is supposed to be any in the first place.

works as well in native and proton, but if you use D9VK maybe you can get a double of FPS, as me

Native and Proton version work both fine. I installed D9VK and the game works fine with this DX9 to Vulkan translation.

I played for about 4 hours using proton ran fine for me out of the box, no tweaks requiered
