I've read about others having controller issues but it worked perfectly for me so the devs has probably worked on it and improved the controller support.

Limited TDP to 5w for stable 90fps and some battery savings.
After using touchscreen you'll need to hit a gamepad button to get it to go back into "gamepad mode" for menus.
Sometimes research menus for adding items in areas like the Town Hall or other buildings would not properly act as if I was clicking the box shown by the UI and go to some other menu item or scroll to another item.
Sometimes items/hazards would be hard to select with the gamepad controls, but this likely isn't steamdeck specific.
Battery lasts ~7hrs when limited to 5w and running at 90fps.
The game does work with normal controller inputs, but it's not as enjoyable as using the trackpads as a mouse in my opinion. I made a layout called BH Deck v2 I think (by me, Reflekks). It uses the trackpads as a mouse and the back buttons open the map and end your turn.

Set TDP limit to 4
The controls will need to be changed - either using the recommended community layout or allowing trackpad/joystick as mouse would be best. The game's text may be hard to read for some, but personally I was okay with it.
Buttons can be set to act as keyboard, as there are some shortcuts. Check community profiles
If not on English, the font is thin and really hard to read
This might be my stupidity, but I couldn't control the frog character.
Nice game, but not for the deck. It is a bite-sized rogue-lite that would be perfect if controller support would be added. In the current form it is a bit annoying to play.
