FSR seemed broken; FPS increase was ~5 but MASSIVE blurrign artifacts occurred on all greenery (the whole screen basically).
Was getting ~30fps on a 7900x/7950x3d. Basically unplayable for me.
Other than the issues mentioned, the game runs basically the same as on Windows, minus HDR support
Stereo works, 5.1 / 7.1 does not (no sound at all)
if Global Illumination is set to medium or high, very distracting "white sparkles" appear all over the screen

Extreme input delay with mouse and keyboard (unplayable). Controller is working fine.
Compared to Proton Experimental, even cutscenes are working.
After switching Proton version /compactdata/1938010 must be deleted. Switching Proton version too often causes EA to block your account for 24 hours (max. 5 login tokens per day).
Either steam deck simply reboots or the game freezes mid initial load and can never progress.
Proton experimental
Using normal Proton causes the video files to not play correctly. Using Proton-GE fixes this.
You might need to wait a while for the game to actually launch after the EA stuff. Just be patient and it'll launch the game.
EA Launcher seemed to cause trouble within Steam Deck UI so I tried Desktop mode which worked better. After that launching within Steam Deck UI wasnt a Problem anymore.
Videofiles don't seem to work and are replaced by an error image. Seems like the devs expected this on Steam Deck so it at least wouldn't crash the game.
The video file issues might be solved by using Proton-GE: https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom/releases/tag/GE-Proton7-49 They're mostly only needed for tutorial videos so if you don't need those you don't have to bother.
Games work, performance are on par with Windows and should get better with a future patch promised by the devs
During my last game, videos didn't show as intended, instead showing the "rainbow" test screen.
Performance are not as good as escpected, but seems to be an issue with the PC version and devs are aware of it
Didn't encounter any major bugs, just the performance being really random, but Windows users are reporting the same thing, so as of gaming on linux, it's on par.
Had an issue with videos showing the multi colored test screen during my last game. didn't had those when playing before the release so probably broken at the release patch.

Once the configurations are set you can enjoy a stable frame rate, just use a controller for a better experience

lowered texture and models to medium to get a stable 60 + fps all other options set to high
Had to play with the controller since KB & M did had a input delay way over an acceptable number
Before changing some options, had to lower the models and textures to medium that solved any issues

Borderless shows Panel in XFCE.
The game runs with around 60 - 70 fps and it does not matter what settings you choose. Sometimes framerate dips below 10 fps.
Besides the annoying EA stuff (you will need an EA account) the game was pretty stable for the hour I 've played it. It takes a while to start (EA stuff thank you again). Here and there the framerate dropped below 10fps while playing and in general it probably should run better on my hardware but it did not crash. Controller support is good (xpadneo + XBox Wireless Controller). I've used Proton Experimental because it crashes with GE 48.
Sometimes very low fps (<12). Needs restart of the game to fix.
EA App crashes very often on startup
