gamemoderun %command%
Played from start to end with no issues at all and no tinkering done.

Runs out of the box

STEAM_COMPAT_CONFIG="nativevulkanloader" -force-d3d11
Rarely, the gamepad could not be detected. Just quitting and reloading the game will solve the issue.
UE 5 is a downgrade, do not go higher than medium settings, 3D res. at 50%, no FSR or XeSS, just UE internal rendering with no frame gen for the love of God...

gamemodrun %command%
Works ouf of the box. Not tinkering required. Used gamemode just to try and squeeze out extra frames

The UE-Habitat Game has crashed and will close
I've tried "gamemoderun %command% -dx11" and nothing happen. If I change it in simply "%command% -dx11" it gives back a fatal error titled "The UE-Habitat Game has crashed and will close".
Fatal error!

The game gets slower and slower the further in one gets. I think my hardware is just old in a way to where the DX->Vulkan gets bottlenecky
The game gets slower and slower as it runs. Unplayably so.
It's playable on Linux if you're not streaming for friends. Gotta reduce the graphics a lot if your hardware is old. Same hardware but with Windows runs passably. Q_Q
Played through the game, no issues occurred.

Played the entire game in one sitting, no issues at all
Works great, install and play.

gamemoderun %command% -dx11
Given that I have to force the game in -dx11 mode, the game does not run as smoothly as intended.
The game crashes constantly for me prior to reaching the main menu unless you set the launch option to -dx11. Otherwise, it will free your computer and not start.
Game would will constantly crash before reaching the main menu unless setting the game launch option to -dx11
It was required for me to switch this to steam launch option -dx11 to even get to the main menu. It doesn't take much to fix it, but an non-savy user will just run into a brick wall.

OOTB perfect experience
Default Proton at the time of this writing. Running perfectly so far on my setup. 'Epic' settings.

Scary OOTB experience
Considering my hardware/distro, I set everything to 'Epic,' enjoy myself [taking breaks] between save points because it's giving me anxiety! lol

Runs very well
Game runs well and never crashed on me.
Unfortunately, the game does not support Steam Cloud Saves, so I was not able to pick up and test on the Steam Deck during my playthrough.

Runs perfectly out of the box
I had no problems running this game as it is, I only encountered a single crash during my second playthrough. Other than that, great game!

Renamed video files to skip intro videos
Occasional crashes (game window freezes with a black screen) when transitioning to new areas or reloading a checkpoint. Seemed to happen more often with GE-Proton (9.10) than with Proton Experimental (bleeding edge). Could also be a game bug.
I had the best experience using Proton Experimental (bleeding edge). Using MangoHud to impose a 60 FPS limit wasn't a good idea either - it made the game stutter. Other than that, flawless experience and great performance at Epic + FSR3 + 4k.

Runs well out of the box
The game crashed my driver once in the first hour. Didn't happen later.
Played with FSR 3 - Native AA - No frame generation. Zero performance issues.

It mostly works. There's a few issues with the game getting stuck on loading screens but there are workarounds.
The game once in a blue moon will decide to freeze during level transitions, but you can get past most of these freezes by restarting the game. There's one particular loading screen after getting past Addair, successfully restarting the generators, and talking with Brodie over the phone that absolutely refuses to work. It just gets stuck on a black screen. The workaround for me was to disable FSR 3 and Frame Gen and switch to DLSS. Once I did that, it got past the loading screen. I am not sure what exact setting was causing the issue, whether it was vsync, frame-gen, or just FSR 3 in general, so try a bunch of them out to see if you can get past. It is doable.
game will hang on load screens if you have frame interpolation enabled
Game wouldnt load through some loading screens. Restarting fixed this until a loading screen later in the game that it would never get through.

Runs out of the box. solid 120fps in 4K, setting everything to epic except lighting and shadows on high and FSR on balanced.
Two black screen hangs and one fatal error, usually on scene changes, over the course of a whole playthrough

Works out of the box, completed a full playthrough without issues
Performance is also relatively good for a Unreal Engine 5 game. On my setup with RX 7900 GRE, graphics maxed at 1440p, game has dips to around 50fps. But with FSR3 enabled on highest quality there were no problems keeping a locked 60fps.

The game runs well out-of-the-box
The startup logos and the death screen don't show up. The game is perfectly playable without them though.
Overall, the game works perfectly fine. I tried running the game with the latest version of proton-ge, which brought back the logos and death screen, but removed DLSS as an option in the settings. Not a big deal if you have powerful hardware, but for me DLSS offers the best performance.
Runs great out of the box

Presses play, nothing happens. Nothing happens in system monitor
Does not work for me
