No graphical problems, no menu problems, no audio problems. Game works 100%

Codec issues with Steam's Proton (placeholder/test patterns), and the game won't load with GE Proton.
The game is perhaps playable with Steam's Proton, but it does NOT "run perfectly".

Game and it's initial videos work but with slighly different Xbox 360 controller mapping and not functional Gamespeak menue and backgr. vid.
gamemoderun %command%
Sometimes overmodulated
Not working Gamespeak menue and background video. If you want to use/show it you get a TV test pattern.
The cutscene bug seems to be fixed intro cutscene played properly on SteamDeck and haven't found any other cutscenes that didn't work.

Various problems with certain (but not all) pre-rendered cutscenes: audio popping, wrong aspect ratio (stretched vertically), or do not play at all (seems to only be non-story videos that don't play).

Some cutscenes & "Gamespeak" cutscenes in the main menu won't play. They just show a old TV like screen.
TV color bars in GameSpeak menu
The "GameSpeak" option in the main menu doesn't work, but it's pointless and irrelevant. All cutscenes and gameplay worked for me on the latest Proton Experimental.
This will be mainly focused on the new port of Munch's Oddysee. I will briefly talk about the old port later. Don't try and bother using proton ge. I tried and it doesn't play cutscenes and will crash. Using the latest proton version 6.3-8, I managed to get the game working with the cutscenes albiet with some errors. Trying to use gamespeak inside the main menu will not work and will display tv color bars that wont play any audio of Munch or Abe. Trying to play cutscenes "Backstory chaper 3" and "Backstory chapter 4" will also show a tv color bar screen without any audio and will automatically end after a few seconds. Other than those problems, I didn't find anything noticable that was wrong. The old port is much worse. I tried with the latest proton and proton ge. Both had issues with audio except from cutscenes. Game suffered from severe lag and crashed when exiting the first level.
Videos don't play
Videos don't play

Videos don't play and there simply doesn't seem to be a way to make them play. From what I can tell, this could be a codec issue where Proton doesn't ship with the right codec, while all versions of windows come with it preinstalled. I've tried many solutions, including installing quartz.dll, devenum, and CCCP, and nothing works. The only solution I couldn't test, because it didn't install, was installing WMP9 via protontricks/winetricks. Presumably, installing WMP9 would have also installed the proper codecs. But this couldn't be done, as Proton seems to only use win64 prefixes and WMP9 can only be installed on a win32 prefix, as there isn't a 64 bit version of WMP9. So I'm throwing in the towel on this one. I hope someone in the future can get something useful from this information. As an interesting side note, there is an "original" beta branch where the problems are reversed. The videos play but the in game audio doesn't work. I haven't had any luck making it work there either. I even tried re-encoding and swapping the videos and in game "oddio" between the two branches and still no luck. It just refuses to work. Good luck to those of you in the future!

Doesn't play movies. Otherwise seems fine.

Does not play movies. Other than that, everything seems to be working fine.

The intro screen is a bit messed up, and the cut scene(s) don't seem to work. Game play though the tutorial and most of the first level seem fine.

Cutscene wasn't playing, but was able to skip it
