Worked perfectly out of the box.

Everything works as-expected OOTB. 100%'d the game without any interruptions or issues.

PROTON_LOG=1 %command%
Crashes on startup.
To fix:
- Set game to use Proton 6.3-8.
- Launch the game and wait for it to crash.
- Set game to use Proton Hotfix.
- Launch the game again.
Game works flawlessly... if it launches.

Doesn't start without switching Proton versions
Game refuses to start without switching Proton versions back and forth.
As Arachnite suggests, attempting to launch with Proton 6.3-8, then switching to Proton Hotfix allows the game to start, but needs to be repeated everytime when running the game.
Interestingly, this doesn't happen on Steam Deck and it starts without issues there.

No idea why but Arachnite solution does work. Change to Proton 6.3-8. Change back to Proton Hotfix game starts up fine afterwards for some reason.

Doesn't launch
Attempted to launch with official protons; 9, 10 beta, and experiemental, along with GE 9-27 and 10-4. None would allow the game to launch

Proton Hotfix does not start, changed to Proton 6.3-8, game does not start. Change back to Proton Hotfix, game starts. It works every time.

Try turning bluetooth off? It would fake start for a couple seconds and then quit, I changed nothing but turning bluetooth off between my 3rd and 4th tries, and then after that it worked every time regardless of what I did. Probably a placebo, but it's worth a shot.

Tried a few different versions of Proton, none resulted in successful launching of this game
Borked!

Switch to xorg otherwise the game flickers constantly, experimental doesn't work in the slightest

Associated panning left/right with back grips for comfort

The game crashes on launch when I had a controller connected
The game crashes on launch when I had a controller connected or when one is connected during a playthrough
I was having issues with this game sometimes crashing instantly upon launch. Reading proton logs I realized the game crashes with EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION while activating Windows.Gaming.Input modules. I disconnected a USB controller I had connected, and voila the game launches again flawlessly. I hope this helps someone else if they run into this issue.
Works fine
The game is launched windowed. Dont try to go to full screen or it will break.

Runs for a couple of seconds then stops
Tried all the tricks listed here and in the discussion forums. Others with similar systems seem to be able to run the game, so I am unsure what is causing the problem

Game doesn't launch unless you use an older proton version (Proton 6 works for me)

Does not start
Tried gamescope, proton-ge, experimental, sdl to x 11
Similar as others here, can install but won't launch even after trying some of the recommended tinkering steps

Saved OK a couple times, but no longer able to save.
I have not debugged yet, but saving via auto-save and exiting the game gives an error popup and requires killing the game. Loading the save that is present works ok.

Fun little game!

Fails to launch.
Other reported issues with bspwm, so Qtile may also be contributing to issues.

There is no default controller layout, but it's good with the community layout. There is no time pressure in the gameplay, so using the trackpad for menus is okay.
I finished it on Steamdeck with no problems, but it wouldn't start on my desktop with an Nvidia card and nobody else who reported it work has an nvidia card, so watch out for that.

Doesn't seem to work on nvidia
No problem running this on steamdeck, but on Desktop with an Nvidia card it won't start even trying all proton version and commands recommended here.

Play with Keyboard and Mouse it's fine, do not try use another type of device to control during gameplay.
Texts are small at SteamDeck's screen
It's awful to play this game witih controllers, It's mandatory to play with keyboard and mouse!
SDL_VIDEODRIVER="" %command%

Runs perfectly out of the box!
It's just a nice little game to play when you don't know what else to play!

Runs completely flawlessly out of the box with no issues and even more functionality than I would expect. This is technically an idle game but there's more to do than idle so give it a try.

The text can be a little small at times but nothing major
The game does not launch if set to fullscreen
Works perfectly out the box. Setting the game to fullscreen stops the game from launching, requiring you to go into desktop mode to change it back, but other than that, absolutely no faults.

Does not sync save files with other computers
Great out of the box!
