Can't use steam overlay and replay feature in desktop mode because stupid EA app takes over overlay

WINEDLLOVERRIDES="version=n, b"
Bound jump to R5, melee to L5
Followed guides (Senith09's and PsychoticHouseCat's guides on Steam Community) to install Origin + 'F*** Off EA' to avoid using EA's new app before running Titanfall 2.
Cancelled EA install script on initial game launch and everything worked fine

The launcher can take some time to install but the game works perfectly and at a very stabe and solid 60fps
The ea installer froze at first but after closing it and launching it again it worked fine
Worked perfectly though it does take a while to find a match
I reccomend using the ninja layout in the in game controls settings (jump and crouch on L1 and R1) and setting the backgrips to the face buttons so you can still aim grenades
durante algunas pantallas de carga la consola se congela y es necesario un reinicio forzoso

8W TDP
EA app is the worst. When entering my user/password it ALWAYS says invalid credentials, even though I have tried it about 8 times or so and verified that those were entered correctly. Finally, got it to work by logging going to my Desktop PC, logging into the EA website, and connecting EA to my Steam account. Now it sometimes just logs in and launches the game, and other times it asks for credentials. Fuck EA.
I am strongly considering sailing the high seas to get a DRM free copy of the game.

experimental
ea app can show up randomly and crash the game (on my old one with emudeck on it) (oled fresh install was great)
on my old steam deck i randomly have audio cut out completely but on a fresh install on my oled. i was fine. probably a fault on my end on the lcd
its the best multiplayer on the steam deck. have minor issues tho
played co op with my girl on both steam decks and it worked great on both the lcd and oled
from my eyes personally, it seems to have sum issues but if you are mainly in game mode it should work great. Even at 60FPS. its my favorite pvp game to play on it.

Used Left Stick to activate Gyro for fine aiming
Set TDP to 7W
EA Launcher may flash a couple of times during initial startup, just let it do its thing
Managed 3+ hours of battery life with TDP set to 7W while being able to maintain stable 60 FPS at default settings.
The subtitles may overrun the black background, not sure if it is a resolution issue.

Excellent matches over wifi.
Run with Proton Experimental, it will open EAs garbage APP but just let it do its thing. Once it was done game launched default settings. Ran stable 60.
This is probably the most fun you will have online on the Steamdeck.
The official servers really like kicking you out, but it's okay once you get in to a game and as long as you stay in match making you will be mostly fine
The newest update to SteamOS 3.4.8 and Proton Experimental breaks TF 2 on the Deck. But all you have to do is delete the prefix (either manually or with the "Storage Cleaner" plugin), force it to use Proton 7.0-6 and it runs flawlessly again
One of the best campaigns of the 2010's, still holds up by today's standards, plays perfectly after minimal tinkering on the Steam Deck
Set scaling filter FSR sharpness 5, changed model detail to medium, model draw distance to normal, effects detail to medium, ragdolls to medium, texture filtering to anisotropic 4x, still beautiful graphics and constant 60 fps with no visible drops through the whole campaign
EA launcher crashed at first startup, proton GE 47 didn't fix it, set compatibility to proton experimental, startup was rather slow but worked, had no problem after this
Played one Frontier Defense match, worked perfectly, no fps drop or stutter, no connection problem
Excellent controller support and optimization
Looks, runs, and plays amazing with the Northstar client, which is easy to install. Great single & multiplayer content
Installed the Northstar modclient by watching this video: https://youtu.be/GxQTsOaY0_8
Changed L4 to Left stick click, changed L5 to Right stick click, changed R4 to B, changed R5 to A. Disabled touchscreen
With the Northstar client, no issues came up with findinf and staying in games.
This game requires constant internet to launch.
Ensure to rename the Northstar launcher to Titanfall2.exe or the mod will not work
Previously worked fine, but now isn't starting. Tested on Experimental too. I see a grey window then the app closes 10 seconds later.
Slightly quiet on external speakers
What looks to be TV static, more noticeable on black screens.
Game sometimes wouldn't start right. It would crash after a window called "EA" would open.
Switched to GE-Proton7-37, fixes tv static like graphics.
Sometimes you get disconnected from matchmaking, but once your in a game you wont have any issues

I installed through Lutris because I don't own it on steam.
Amazing experience, if you own it you should play it.
Besides Origin weirdness, the game launches and runs without issue on the Steam Deck. Performance wise, you can expect stable 60fps.
Initially, a blank Origin window will open before shortly crashing. This will happen 5-10 times before Titanfall 2 begins to load instead.
Occasional time-out to the matchmaking server.
To avoid having to deal with Origin's weirdness/signing in on the Steam Deck, I'd recommended to first launch and sign into Titanfall 2 on a traditional PC, and once Titanfall 2's save data has been uploaded to the Steam Cloud, install and launch the game on the Steam Deck. Occasionally the game may stall on the Steam launching animation or may crash after showing the blank Origin window rather than launching. In these cases, the game will successfully launch after simply reattempting to do so.
40hz/40fps
Origin Thin sometimes borks itself making the game unlaunchable. Fixed itself after some time.
At the time of writing playable again.
TF2 runs beautifully on the Deck right out the box! But... The Origin installer can sometimes randomly bork itself out of nowhere. Maybe you'll be able to fix it by switching to an older Proton version, maybe you won't. If it's not fixable the game just becomes unplayable for you for who knows how long until it fixes itself again. This can happen to all games that need third party launchers (Origin, Ubisoft, etc.) Users beware...
With current version of SteamOS, if you have the "Echo-Cancel Sink" volume to set to something other than 100% there will be no audio. Go to Desktop mode, click the volume icon by the clock, slide the slider to max (but leave the Speaker as your preferred sound device), and you will have sound.
Ran great on the Steam Deck.

Install Origin if required and enjoy full multiplayer. Max out the settings and enjoy!
40Hz and Triple Buffered VSync
Needed to install Origin thin client
Origin install on first launch, showed up on some but not all subsequent launches.
Aside from the Origin bloat, the game itself runs really well with a locked 60fps at the default settings.
Changed controls to something that worked better for me, but is unnecessary

gamemoderun %command%
Had the misfortune in getting some games (Titanfall 2, Battlefront 2, Battlefield 1) through Origin so I did the following:
Followed the Guide here in r/steamdeck to get Origin launching in Steam and have the Origin Games launching within Steam Game Mode.
Once that is sorted, I then installed Proton-GE following this post, which allowed me to install Proton-GE7.18 and used that in game.
On game launch option, make certain you add 'STEAM_COMPAT_DATA_PATH="/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/{ORIGIN NUMBER}" gamemoderun %command%' as well for the extra FPS.
Games runs smooth on 'Auto' Graphics settings (which on steamdeck defaults to medium).
Runs smoothly when it works but crashing during loading screens (or during saves) is very inconvenient.
Sometimes the Origin Launcher is clunky, difficult to navigate, or causes other issues.
Get freezing during load screens (controls unresponsive but audio still going) and occasional ingame freezing. Happens more frequently on transitonal load screens.
Not sure if it is my Steam Deck as many Gold or Verified games are crashing or otherwise frustrating to play. When it runs, it runs great but having to restart every 30 minutes is real annoying.
Tried on Most proton as of 5/24 (Experimental, version v7-17 and worked my way all the way down to 5.13-6) and always get the same result. White screen Flashes after initial origin installation and goes to a locked steam icon loading screen, crashes or/and resets device. origin installer also repeat installs after every attempt.
Tried on Desktop mode and doesnt load at all past Origin Installer.
