Playing this on Linux has been great! I've also had better performance on lesser hardware with Linux than Windows.
On my primary PC, in the blacksmith crafting menu I cannot scroll through the crafting options using the mouse wheel unless I move the curser to the left of the blacksmith crafting screen (as if the borders aren't recognized correctly). When scrolling through the stats, the gear info box rapidly flashes. If I scroll within the crafting screen I can only scroll through the gear info box.
On an old laptop with Linux using the touchpad and on a mini PC with Windows using a mouse, I can scroll both the stat menu and item info box properly with the cursor within the crafting screen. Both Linux machines are running Proton Hotfix, I believe as default through Steam.
I haven't tried any other Proton versions as I haven't had any performance issues at all and have been very happy playing this on Linux. As mentioned in the summary, I've actually had much better performance on Linux than Windows, with one Linux machine being a modern gaming setup and the other an old laptop with an Core i5-6200U using integrated graphics. Aside from the laptop having much lower FPS naturally, both Linux machines play this game wonderfully.
The Windows machine is a mini PC with a Ryzen 9 6900HX with Radeon 680M integrated graphics and 64 GB DDR5 running Win 11 Pro. The game would occasionally have a momentary freeze/lag, one or two times to the point that I thought it was going to crash.
some texts are small I had to use the magnifying glass

Works great out of the box
Game runs perfect once it launches
One note: the game takes 20-30 seconds to launch, i thought steam was having problems at first, but it's consistent. It's almost like it's processing shaders without showing the dialog box.

PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 __NV_PRIME_RENDER_OFFLOAD=1 __GLX_VENDOR_LIBRARY_NAME=nvidia %command%
Could not launch with DXVK, needed to set PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1
It's possible the issue was related to hybrid graphics, but it could not launch on the iGPU with DXVK either.
Runs perfect

Set TDP limit to 7W.
In-game text is quite small but still legible. Make sure to go into in-game settings and set "Interface Font Size" to "Biggest" for a little help (not much).
Not really a performance issue but I noticed an odd jittery animation in the character movement. This was resolved by limiting the frame rate to 60fps (which was what I was averaging anyway with TDP 7W and before enabled the frame limit).
Game runs very well apart from annoying menu issue. But the touch screen circumvents this issue for now.
I lowered the watts to 7
The text for items and in game menus is very small.
In game menus are sometimes unresponsive or only partially responsive.
Played pretty much flawlessly. You'll notice some fps drops when a ton of enemies are on screen, but those happen regardless of OS/hardware.
patch 8/11/2021 -> no slow in inventory and no crash +-1h.
crashes after about 30min to an hour
I defaulted to Proton 6.0 GE, but played perfectly. Seems to be a very little delay in mouse movement not enough to impact gameplay.
I do see some screen tearing but cant be sure it is this game or my drivers/video settings... I hear vsync/freesync/gsync do not like multiple monitors with different resolutions. I played full screen on the 1440p but the game only goes to 1080p. Played fine. Perfectly playable for the bit that I tested.
