Playing this on Linux has been great! I've also had better performance on lesser hardware with Linux than Windows.
On my primary PC, in the blacksmith crafting menu I cannot scroll through the crafting options using the mouse wheel unless I move the curser to the left of the blacksmith crafting screen (as if the borders aren't recognized correctly). When scrolling through the stats, the gear info box rapidly flashes. If I scroll within the crafting screen I can only scroll through the gear info box.
On an old laptop with Linux using the touchpad and on a mini PC with Windows using a mouse, I can scroll both the stat menu and item info box properly with the cursor within the crafting screen. Both Linux machines are running Proton Hotfix, I believe as default through Steam.
I haven't tried any other Proton versions as I haven't had any performance issues at all and have been very happy playing this on Linux. As mentioned in the summary, I've actually had much better performance on Linux than Windows, with one Linux machine being a modern gaming setup and the other an old laptop with an Core i5-6200U using integrated graphics. Aside from the laptop having much lower FPS naturally, both Linux machines play this game wonderfully.
The Windows machine is a mini PC with a Ryzen 9 6900HX with Radeon 680M integrated graphics and 64 GB DDR5 running Win 11 Pro. The game would occasionally have a momentary freeze/lag, one or two times to the point that I thought it was going to crash.
