gallery videos do not work
works smoothly just sad about the broken gallery, the native version doesnt seem to properly save game states
Works perfectly with no tinkering

To change resolution had to switch to proton experimental, on default it would just black screen

Slight input lag on the native Linux version, switching to Proton fixed this.

jogo roda otimo
10\10 99% de chance de funcionar e roda fluidamente

Kept crashing after splash screen on native, Proton GE 8, Experimental and Proton 7.
Switching to Proton 5.13 fixed it
Works just fine native, but gallery is only supported with proton
works great
Native worked perfectly but the gallary is broken. If you want to see how other players completed the level then you should switch to the proton version like I did.
Works
Works ootb
Only thing that didn't work was the video playback for other players' solutions.
This is a chill game that runs very well on my Linux workstation.
I very much recommend this game.
Aside from being a great game it worked perfectly on my linux laptop
Videos in gallery do not work.

Yes, it works out of the box, but you can do minimal tweaking
There are two ways to play this game on Linux: -Native: best performance, but the gallery straight up doesn't work. -Proton (Experimental): non-disruptive performance-drops (not occuring during gameplay), gallery shows thumbnails, doesn't seem to load videos. (Maybe you can get it to work, idk)
Others: Steam Linux Runtime is a worse version of native, Proton 7.0-1 is just a worse version of Proton experimental.
couldn't exit fullscreen

when selecting things with ctrl+drag, it often won't select, both native and through proton
crashes often when a level is finished, steam quits as well when this happens, both on native and through proton
I ran the game in both native and through proton using proton-7.0rc3-ge-1, when using native version, the gallery is not available, but is when using proton, though for me at least, i could load the thumbnails for the videos, but not the actual videos, though that may be down to my internet
Doesn't Launch
As of June 11, patch 1.09, the devs added native Linux support. Everything works flawlessly out of the box.
There is now a native Linux version. You may get a missing executable error if you launch through steam. To fix this:
- right-click on the game in your library
- enable "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool" This will force steam to update your game files.
- disable "Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool". You are now downloading the native Linux version and do not need any compatibility tools.
Hope this helps!
There is now a native version, instructions for how to do that are above or below, not sure how this will show up.
Everything generally works, fullscreen and windowing works on wayland using sway.
This may be an issue with my specific configuration, in my sway config I have bindsym $mod+Shift+q kill
, but sometimes the game just will not close, requiring me to kill it again by sending sigterm.

You need to know how to kill a process to close the game.
you need to kill the game to close it, i every option in the game to close it but it hangs there.
Works totally fine after tweaks, but slows down to around 20fps when simulating in world 2. Other worlds seem fine.
Only in world 2 when simulating (not when building), where there is a lot of lighting.
Run flawlessly out of the box
Small window pops up with a progress bar, then exits after a minute.
KDE Window rules
The game did not allow me to close it when in full screen
I turned off fullscreen in-game and told KWin to force fullscreen, this made the input less laggy and it allowed me to close it correctly

Very frequent full system freezes - even in the menu
The game freezes my entire system (not able to move mouse, switch to another virtual console, etc) about every 2 seconds. The system is frozen for about 5 sec. GPU usage is only around 50% and gpu memory around 1500MB so that's not the reason. This makes the game unplayable. Recommend waiting for a native linux version (which is supposedly in the works).
After exiting the game, it hangs and requires manual termination.
Works like a charm out of the box
Works perfectly fine out of the box.

Gameplay works fine, outside of the minor problems mentioned below I've found no issues.
When starting the game the first time keyboard based shortcuts were not working, after restarting the game everything worked fine.
The game does not seem to close correctly, as long as you make sure to return to the main menu before force closing it, I have not noticed any lost progress.
