Works out of the box. Can't tell the difference with the Windows version
Not specific to Linux, but if you play with a controller, any input on a mouse will add a second player in the lobby. So if I wanted to go on my desktop, I had to wait for the game to begin.

Without PROTON_USE_WINED3D the game would load with a visible menu but most other graphics were completely missing with only a color-changing background.

in it's current demo form it is enjoyable, but see my other note about possible future anti-cheat.
From talking with the devs I have learned that they have no plan at this time to bring out a Linux native version of this game. They have also not yet implemented any form of anti-cheat in this game as they have not yet settled on any specific anti-cheat system, so while the demo worked without any problems I can see this become a problem in the future, I told them of it working fine in through proton in it's current state and I mentioned that anti-cheat in the windows binary might exclude any proton compatibility, and they told me they would note it for the future to only time will tell. If they manage to make it stay proton compatible I feel like this would be a fun game to add to any Linux gamer's party game collection with it's up to 8 player multiplayer.
