Works as good as Windows in Proton
I couldn't get fullscreen to work in the native version, so I switched to Proton. It worked just as well as the Windows version. The problem is that, even on Windows, the Legendary Edition has issues that the individual games don't. So if you can afford it, avoid the Legendary Edition.
Evoland 1 works fine. Didn't notice any major problems with 2, but I didn't play much of it.
Works great!

Fullscreen works perfectly, if you force it. In Ubuntum go to the settings->keyboard shortcuts and find 'Toggle fullscreen mode' -- for me alt+F11 works.
works good
i run the game o window mode only.

Played the EGS version.
40hz & 40FPS
Overworld experiences white lines between textures
I did not experience the fullscreen issue mentioned by the previous reports. It seems to have been fixed.
The game is fluid and completely playeble, I only found a minor visual artifact when accessing the overworld map in both games
switched refresh rate to 40 and limited fps to 40
on the overworld map, I saw an artifact that let me see the tiles composing the map, with a white flickering border between them
Perfect little game to enjoy on the deck
As the other deck report indicated, running the native version does not go well. The game -runs- fine, but gets stuck showing only a section of the window, leaving most of the visible game cropped out.
Evoland Legendary Edition is a must play game that runs great on the Steam Deck using proton.
The native build does not lauch in fullscreen which is an issue on the Steam Deck. Therefor, the use of proton is recommended.
Error windows require the use of a mouse. On the Steam Deck you can change the controller configuration, or hold the Steam button down + trackpad. These errors are very uncommon however.
Works flawlessly out of the box!

Better than the native version. Via Proton I got fullscreen and my controller working. Native had sometimes trouble switching over to the controller.
Run in proton, forget native.
The game does not have fullscreen setting, and for the native version, fullscreen shortcuts cannot be used (Alt+F11 or Alt+Enter).
Native version detected my 8bitdo Pro 2 controller, presumably through Steam. Displays controller schemes (Such as press A to start). However, the game does not respond to controller inputs. Controller support in proton is perfect.

Works on Proton
The native version didn't work for me. But on Proton Evoland 1+2 work fine with DXVK (DX11).
