Follow bender's post (top post here for now). so you have 16:10 ration, and set your scaling mode to "fit".

Also try to load game from desktop mode first then from gaming mode.

If it crashes in gaming mode chose gear-settings icon in game mode and play with resoluition - default, native, 1200x800. Also game sometimes won't run if you leave overlay with your FPS, temperature etc.

Then game works and it's pretty sharp not vaseline-like with scaling mode if you chose "fit".
