Really solid, has ArmA's signature low FPS issues, but better than ArmA 3. Definitely worth a shot.
Unstable FPS, expected of an ArmA game. Running on Medium/Low mixed settings gets 30-45FPS in the training area. MP, and Scenarios remain untested.
Mildly unstable FPS, expected of an ArmA game. Running on Medium/Low mixed settings gets 30-45FPS in the training area. MP, and Scenarios remain untested. Controls work great, the UI could be a tiny bit larger (I'm pretty sure you can change this in the settings, at least you could in ArmA 2, and 3). If you run it in low settings, I'm almost certain you can get it at a stable 60 FPS. Overall though? Really, really solid for the Deck. Not sure why it's not listed as fully supported, since like I said, if you play around with the graphical settings, you're solid. I don't think you really need to do anything else.
Found a single community running on a half full server that were very solid, and fun. Good stuff. Though I had an issue where I can't download custom content on the server, no idea why. Seems like a source issue, but my buddy who's on Windows had no issues.
Need to switch to an older version of proton, and I couldn't download custom content from servers. But otherwise solid game. If you try to launch it with no tinkering, you either wont be able to start it, or you'll get a black screen. Switch to proton 6.3-8
I used to be able to play... For like 15 minutes. Now I can't play at all.
Yeah, game open at all. It spawns the Window, and then crashes. Spent all day troubleshooting it, and largely it just can't connect to some windows service that it's looking for. I gave up.
Doesn't start
Tried all tinker options mentioned in protondb. None work
WINEDLLOVERRIDES=EasyHook,EasyHook64,EasyLoad64,NativeInterop,version,dinput8,ScriptHookRDR2,ModManager.Core,ModManager.NativeInterop,NLog=n,b gamemoderun %command% -USEALLAVAILABLECORES -cpuLoadRebalancing -ignorepipelinecache
It runs perfectly fine on my SteamDeck, but I cannot get it to launch on my desktop. If I give it custom launch parameters, it crashes instantly. If I leave everything default, it freezes on loading.
No issues with multiplayer experienced. Played all gamemodes, spammed chat with nonsense for giggles, platoon'd up, everything works fine.
Could not get it to work in Steam before, could not get it to work with Valve's flavors of proton. Only Lutris-GE-Proton 7-15-SC worked. But other than that, I didn't have any other issues. With other Wine versions/proton versions either WGC doesn't launch, or WOWs doesn't launch. Or WOWs gets stuck in logging in. The version I'm running, everything works perfectly fine.
Doesn't Start
No idea why, it wont start in any version of proton. Works fine when installed through lutris. I guess the Steam version is different?
The Armory screen lags, something weird, but it always did that in my version of Lutris
In my last report I said it was completely non functional. So my issue was, and I didn't realize it at the time, I had it installed to an NTFS drive. I had to do some debugging to find out that the game didn't have any file system permissions, so it couldn't read the game files lol.
Don't install to an NTFS drive lmao.
Also if you wanna add modpacks (Like Aslains), get Lutris, add this game manually, and give it the wineprefix in the compatdata folder, and in Lutris, select 'Run EXE inside Wine Prefix'. If you wanna be even more funny, just run the modpack installer, and point it to the compdata wineprefix lol.
