Performance:Slight Performance Problems
There are some performance problems but it is probably games fault not protons.
First I tried to use it with Proton 5.0.9 it crashed but changing it to work with Proton 4.2.9 solved the issue.

Works perfect out of box. Might contain bugs, but this is not because of proton. Game is still in early phase.
Gamepad works fine, used xbox controllers. No framerate issues, played on everything on high. Lookin' to play more. If I encounter anything, I'll update this review.

Other than occasional crashes (which I encountered three or four times in my current twenty hours playthrough) it works like a charm.
Instability:Occasionally
Game sometimes crashes but this is because of the game. On windows it crashes like that too!

Turning off next gen mode solves every problem. Stick with it and you'll have a perfect out of box experience.
Performance:Slight Performance Problems
Sometimes, it stutters for a bit but not a deal breaking.
I used Proton 6.3-6. It performed better than 5.13-6.

Input:Controller Detection
If you plug the controller after start screen the game won't detect the controller.First plug it than start it.
