Only startoption I added was -nomovies
.
And I used regular Proton version 5.0-10
Seems the sound works now aswell. As I did not need to change the soundvoices
value.
I did just a fast test with custom game, have not tried online yet. Will update when I have tried that.
Becasue of Sync Error during online play, you can't play the game as intended.
Sync error during online play. Match begins, but after a minute or so the game gets sync error and the game crashes.
Sync Error
Proton support seems good. I have not yet tried multiplayer, but will.
Seems like there is some performance issues(cant play on 1080p on medium without downscale). Maybe due to Alpha. I have a decent PC (3900X, 32GB RAM, GTX 3060Ti).
When I tried multiplayer I got disconnected when searching for a game, very hard to know if it is due to alpha or proton. Will try a few more times and report back
The game works, except from online multiplayer.
Seems like there is sync problems just like on COH2. As I get disconnected all the time during search. I managed to join 1 game, but got disconnected in about 2 minutes.
No problem with playing the game on 1920x1080. But on 4K you only get a quarter of the screen.
Could not get the screen to display fully when set the resolution to 4K.
If you set the resolution to 4K, and only get a quarter if the screen. You can edit it in the "engine.ini" file located under:
data/engine.ini
in the local files.
I have now played for 3h. I have not had any issues yet. It was just a pain to get going.
Had to tinker a bit. Found out that this worked for me with AMD GPU:
WINEDLLOVERRIDES=dxgi=n,b PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=60 VK_ICD_FILENAMES=/usr/share/vulkan/icd.d/radeon_icd.x86_64.json %command% -vulkan -fullscreen -USEALLAVAILABLECORES -cpuLoadRebalancing -ignorepipelinecache
Using 5.13-6. And during installation of rockstar club, it seems that you can't use cloud saves.
And somewhat, I can't change the graphics settings. I needed to edit it manually in settings.xml
. Mine was located:
~/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/compatdata/1174180/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/My\ Documents/Rockstar\ Games/Red\ Dead\ Redemption\ 2/Settings/
If you need to reinstall rockstar club purge this folder:
~/.steam/debian-installation/steamapps/compatdata/1174180/
