Works with no tinkering.
It is playable, but there are slight performance drops.
Excellent performance and stable.
The game runs great on Proton 8 as well as on GE-proton. There are some minor graphical glitches on the main loading area, but everything looks ok once in a scene.
RADV_PERFTEST=rt VKD3D_FEATURE_LEVEL=12_2 VKD3D_CONFIG=dxr11 %command%
Installed regedit file from FidelityFX SuperResolution 2.2 to enable DLSS/FSR2.2
The game didn't have proper lighting(everything was bright) unless the ray-tracing strings were activated.
The currently runs 3440x1440 @ 70-80 fps at Ultra preset, Ray-traced reflections, RT set to High, DLSS set to Performance. Enabling ray-tracing fixed a lighting issue where everything was bright and there were no shadows. On first start-up there is a dialog about system requirements, but that can be closed by alt-tabing to the dialog.
Previous non-working title now working!
Tested using Proton 6.3-8 and newer builds. No tweaks or run options needed.
Game initially gave me errors: "Failed Loading XML file xml\GameInfo/CIV4PlayerOptionInfos.xml" "LoadXML call failed for GameInfo/CIV4PlayerOptionInfos.xml" "Failed Loading XML file xml\GameInfo/CIV4GraphicOptionInfos.xml" "LoadXML call failed for GameInfo/CIV4GraphicOptionInfos.xml".
Ran "protontricks 8800 msxml3" on terminal. Now game loads and plays perfectly. No other launch options need after running the protontricks command. Tested on 6.3-8, experimental(1/3/22) and GE 7.0rc3-GE1.
Audio working well on startup and first few minutes of play; however, when opening the spell menu, the audio suddenly stopped and the game crashed shortly after.
Game generally looks good, but certain objects have a tendency to glitch or artifact. In the first few minutes of the game, a certain character's arm textures were jumping around. Other assets seemed to stutter/glitch around frequently.
Compared to playing on Windows, there were noticeably performance drops and stutters.
Game crashed a few minutes into gameplay.
Works much better now.
Working much better than my previous report. Starts up on default settings, and I don't notice any graphical glitches or bugs anymore.
