Run the following command in terminal, "protontricks 105450 mfc42 winxp l3codecx corefonts" game works after this.
The game it self runs great, the only issue I had is that my monitor does not support 640x480 so in order to get the game to run I ran with protontricks vd=640x480 for initial boot to configure resolution and set up game settings. After this the game ran flawless.

Requires Vulkan to run correctly, after installing this no issues were found during a duel. apt install mesa-vulkan-drivers mesa-vulkan-drivers:i386
