Game installed and launched fine. Played on default settings to the end of the first chapter. Felt like playing a Linux-native game.
This really felt like a native experience. Just hit install and play the game. No tweaks or customization required.
After running the game for the first time, the display resolution was not correctly set but resetting this manually in settings worked. I played a couple of skirmishes as well as the first missions of the GDI campaign. Everything was running stable without issues. I ran the game on medium graphics settings and it is somewhat slower than under Windows. In Windows I can easily play on max settings.
Plays like a native game
Not much to say here. Plays like a native game. No tinkering required.
Launch the game after installation. Full Command Line:
PROTON_USE_D9VK=1 %command% -useembedded
Performance was on par with Windows. Started a single player game with 5 opponents. I played the Unfallen. I played for roughly an hour and completed several turns without any problems. During playing, I had no issues whatsoever (like glitches, flickering, transparency issues, etc.)
Runs pretty much out of the box with decent framerates on default settings. Had one crash so far after 2.5hrs of playing.
Crashed once after 2.5hrs of playing. Cannot watch FMV like everyone else on Proton.
Native-like experience
Game installs and plays like a native game. No tinkering or tweaking required. Runs with great performance. No hiccups or crashes observed so far.
