Had a few issues with proton with videos not loading and a freeze in the first 5 minutes. Switched to GE and had no problems for the rest of the game.
Crashing was resolved by switching to Proton Experimental bleeding edge.
Black screen when game launched.
When I launched this initally, it gave me a black screen. Menus still came up so I could get to the game settings. I resolved this by switching "Upscaling Mode" from "Balanced" to "AMD Native AA" in display settings.
Then I was getting crashing every 15-20 minutes of gametime. Switching to Proton Experimental bleeding edge fixed this. Do this by going into your Steam library and finding Proton Experimental. Go to Properties > Betas > Beta Participation and select "bleeding-edge" from the dropdown. Update the app afterwards. Played for over 2 hours with several hunts with no freezing.
